Drank alongside a 2006 Chateau Lagrange, which the Sinskey mopped the floor with and then teabagged for good measure. Milder aromatics of cassis and leafy herbs. Tart red fruit dominates the palate with tobacco leaf and other delicious greenness supporting the background. Finishes like a top-tier cabernet franc from a riper Loire vintage. I am biased towards Bordeaux in general but this was an excellent reminder of how great Napa Cabernet can be in the right hands. This seems to be near peak but if stored properly it should continue to deliver the goods for another 5+ years.
I can't think of a better introduction to the world of good wine for all the bachelorette parties and younger go-getters that flock to the Sinskey tasting room for their instragrammable wine/food pairings and friendly service.

August 2021
Smooth tannins, black currant, a little dry after taste. Really good. Pretty soft too. Great year to open

Drank Christmas night. Nice wine from memory, but outclassed by a 2008 Derenoncourt Damaru.
