Light straw. Looked young. Reticent nose, some citrus. Refined palate, tight, lemon, a touch of cream but really tight, maybe even a touch underripe. Didn't open up much over the course of the night.

A light straw yellow in colour, the nose is attractive and complex with peach, nectarine, understated brioche and gun flint aromas.
The palate shows everything one looks for in an exceptional Chardonnay; there are layers of stone fruits and hints of citrus that are backed by toasty oak influences and a mineral acidity that frames the concentrated fruit.
The finish has leesy characters of brioche and toasted almond that are perfectly contrasted by crisp acidity, the wonderful mouth feel remains long after the final sip. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2014-2017)

Swig Wine Tasting (Intercontinental Hotel, London): Serious and sexy wine - lively nose of minerals, wet stones, flint, smoke. On the palate there is great poise and balance - lemon, butter, zippy fruit with a tarte finish. Balanced. Excellent wine.
