  • Lunch at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): At this point, I don't think you call it premox anymore. Truth be told, this is probably quite correct for a 1998 -- it's fat and showing some aged chardonnay, mushroomy notes. Pretty good acidity if quite short, and past its prime for my palate.

  • Medium straw yellow, golden tints.
Lightly honeyed nose with white flowers, spice and distinct minerality. Complex, harmonious and attractive.
This is quite full bodied on the palate with nice balancing (medium/medium +) acidity. It shows complex, developed flavours with lightly honeyed floral notes and spice, followed by steely minerals with notes of citrus and creamy oak on a satisfying, good length finish.

Outstanding village Puligny with lovely complex flavour, good balance and excellent typicity. All that you could expect from village Puligny and more, drinking well now, and can't see it falling apart for at least a couple of years.
