Excellent. Medium-red. Reduction the main feature aromatically, but its not off-putting. Beautiful and vibrant fruit. Prominent acidity. Quite saline but, again, not off-putting. Try again in about a year.
Directly after opening a bit thin. Opens up slowly, next day (under Vacuvin in the frigde) lovely wine. Nose red fruit, minerally. Taste sweet red fruit, some mocca, balanced, good finish. Not a wine of power, but elegance.
Blind tasted. Light color. Gots lots of fruit, red and black cherry, raspberry. No signs of obvious oak. Missed the earth or minerality, half of us guessed Sonoma Pinot, other half was in the Burgundy camp. Someone suggested it was a ripe year in Burgundy?
