  • Same btl as R&Rer Opened at venue about 90 minutes before drinking. Gave pour to venue manager immediately since he's wine geek which left more air in the btl to breathe. This was stunning, especially for the lowly village level designation. Absolutely love the spicy red fruit profile and almost sparkling vibrancy. Hard to put to words how good this is. There is major depth here with just phenomenal fruit purity and terroir shinning through. Everything about this wine was pure class tonight. Paid $128 on sale drinks an awful lot like the Ruchottes IMO. 93pts+ Grabbed three more.

  • Arms Reduction Dinner (Meritage, St. Paul): Medium dark red color. PNP, drank 1+ glass over 90 minutes. So it's only a village wine you's Rousseau from 2010 I say; and oh so tasty it is. Lets forget about price and just focus on pleasure. This was one very pleasurable bottle of wine. I love John1001's comment: "I'm starting to think $150 for a village wine may be appropriate...maybe.... " Yup, I hate to agree, but...There was something quite refined and and very suave about this, red fruits on the nose, floral, subtle earthiness, with a sleek, very approachable palate, red fruits, berries, currant, cherry and maybe a touch of plum comes through. Such lovely purity. Very tasty and a damn shame to get hooked on :). 92-93pts.
