Red and black cherries, plums, cocoa dust, blood orange, combined with a nice touch of earth, smoke and a spiciness. The wine is deep, medium to full-bodied, ripe but focused not flabby, with a core of sappy fruit and very, very good length and voluptuous finish.

Opened 2 hours in advance. Red color. Wafting floral red berry and a bit of soil. Elegant, supple, resolved tannins. No strong secondary characteristics yet. Lovely and quite delicate for an '09.

Chambolle Northside 1er (Zoom / Chicago): Similar aromatic profile to the '10 tasted side-by-side though clearly more ripe and candied. Rich, sweet black cherry fruit has enough acidity to remain bright and fresh. This is more overt and less interesting/balanced as the '10. Feels like it might be peaking.

Blue fruited. Round in the mouth. Fuees is just beguiling. Surprisingly accessible for a Jadot this young. 92

From a region known for its powerful and refined wines, this fits the bill perfectly. Clear, medium ruby with browning at the rim.
Sweet and oaky aromas of candied red cherry, strawberry jam, vanilla, chocolate and belt leather. There's also a savoury dried herb note.
This is a big wine with fleshy tannins and powerful acidity.
The core of sweet strawberry and red cherry continues on the palate, as does the savoury, herbal note.
Excellent length.
Still very young. Drink 2026-2041
