Excellent. Crisp acidity as in a Riesling, even feels like little pétillance but there isn't. Opens in the mouth to really satisfying Loire Chenin goodness. Drinking well. Long.

Very enjoyable chenin. Lovely nose. A complex wine with what seems like endless acidity. I have no idea how these wines age, but this example seems to have the potential to live a very long time. Powerful now, perhaps more will come with age.

Excellent Chenin: tangy, almost thick with a kind of intense chalky-mineral sensation, with some wet wool on the finish, slightly rounded by the merest hint of RS. Cast from a very different mold than Vouvray and Montlous. With Leroy, my new personal star producer of Chenin-based Loire.

Not as sweet as I had thought, in fact is there any RS in this wine? I assume there is some, but it's well hidden by the generous stone fruit and acidity. I love the energy in this bottle. Paired beautifully with Challerhocker, Fourme d'Ambert and Quickes cheddar.

drank at Herrings, lovely mineral-driven but rounded and balanced. Still some edges, and became cloying after half an hour.
