Blind tasted ... (choice was grenache from spain or france -- that was Ch Redortier 2004)
color is similar, a transparent med ruby nose: med+ intensity, tons of spice, cranberry, red fruit palate: dry, acid is med+ tannin is from oak, med, body med- alc est. 14% (was 15%) finish is med+
style note: Succulent red fruit, racing acidity, and a good dash of spicy oak give this wine its bright cherry and raspberry flavor. The light bodied style would pair well with foods such as poached salmon, chicken salad, and some vegetarian dishes.

A pretty tasty but tannic quaffer from a DO I'd not had before. Suited the less spicy chilis well.

Fresh fruit with good, balanced acidity. This is refreshing, and particularly easy to drink. Being realitively cheap is another plus.

Enjoyed. Nice and easy to drink, light fruit with some mineral qualities. Good for a Tuesday night.

what port tastes like before it is fortified, not something I would buy again, vivid ruby red, flat, thin, sharp
