Really cool to drink this. Nicely dense and old world seeming Trousseau. Think Puffeney or Gahier. Held depth and structure over 1 hour plus open. At its peak now.

Sadly, this was my last bottle -- and it was also the best. In a very good place -- probably close to its peak drinking window. The 2010 Trousseau Grands Vergers from Gahier was one of the few Trousseau's I could think of that I enjoyed as much as this bottle. That said, that was on release and that wine didn't seem to hold up well (need to revisit to see how that wine has evolved). Showed some of the complexity, layers and nuance that you find in a good Burgundy. Probably one of my top ten favorite wines from the last year.

Opened one hour in advance. Spicy berry aroma with a bit of funk. Clear, clean flavors of raspberry and mint. Rich, slightly sweet, raspberry finish.
Iron fist in a velvet glove, with full flavors that are firmly under control. Reminiscent of trousseau that I have had from Jura, but fuller and more vibrant. Excellent.

PopnPour, tasted over 6 hrs and on Day 2 -semi-translucent, med red/brown/purple -rhubarb, grass, spice -med acidity, light weight, med- conc, rhubarb, moderate complexity evolves on Day 2, bitterness on moderate length finish, med- tannins -more grassy/savory than fruit, more intellectual than hedonistic, interesting wine, better on 2nd day

Tasted again Feb 18, 2013. 89-90. Delightful red berry nose but some bitterness in the finish.
