This bottle was a couple steps behind the last one I opened a couple years ago. The layers and complexity weren't there. It might be bottle variation or a dumb phase. No real improvement on day two. Nonetheless, it was still an excellent Petite Sirah blend.

The name is very fitting for this wine...huge in every way ,without being tiring or heavy. Wonderfully balanced. loads of dark red fruit, vanilla, chocolate, and light spices. Long complex finish with plenty of tannins. This needs several more years to mature, but is extremely pleasurable now with an hour in the glass. One of the best petite sirahs i've had. 93+

Gorgeous wine. Dark plum color; earth, mint, dark fruit on nose; lovely silky tannins and fruit on palate; long finish. Delicious!
