Last bottle of twelve. Interesting as this bottle is considerably different from the others. The previous ones were youthful, with residual sugar and some CO2 in some cases. This is the mature version of the wine with steeliness minerality, med acidity, med body, med- alcohol. Gone are the tropical fruits replaced by ripe apple and honey. Somewhat short on length and complexity. Good wine and exceptionnal value for money but will continue to drink them young.

Supper with the WSET diploma guys at E & M's - theme was wine to accompany seafood (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney): Peach over pineapple and pain d'epices and a slight meaty/smoky quality and touches of struck flint. On the palate there is a very slight spritz, the wine is off dry with stone fruit over tropical fruit - primary fruit is the dominant ingredient - with medium plus length. After about three hours a slight kerosene note begins to intrude which clashing as it does with the pure primary fruit, for me, turns a very nice wine to an okay wine.

Better showing than the last bottle. Starting to develop slightly. Hint of petrol and honey. More smoke and slate than fruit. Not quite a 'spice garden' per se. Tasty. Simple. Like it. Don't love it.

Initially primary fruit dominates but after almost two hours it starts to fall over leaving a slightly flabby core.

Mellow and citrus grounded with some earthiness.
