Awesome! Drank with Brett and was very similar to the ‘96 Spottswoode that he brought. Drank like a classic Napa Cab. Fruit still going strong. No tannin, nice acidity.

Thanksgiving weekend tasting with friends. Opened Pride and R. Foley Merlot 2006. This is a gorgeous wine with a lot going on for this 20+ year wine. Still solid structure, balanced and long. Was really singing in an hour. Plenty of life left. Best of 2000s Cali Cabs I ever had?

Hour decant. Like the Stephen Tanzer notes still at this point. Fruit still showing nicely. One cork came out perfect & the second bottle was toast. Delicious paired with wagyu flank steak grilled. Don’t have any more, enjoyed it and as the other recent positive post say, I think if you have some enjoy it sooner rather than later. Cheers

Beautifully mature cabernet. Dark red color, no fading. Rich red aromas of plums and currants. Lush, full fruit on the palate. Plums, cherries, leather. A bit of anise develops with air. Fine tannins, nice acidity, great balance. Finishes moderately long with red fruits. Fully mature and lovely. I'd drink over the next 2 years.

Not as good as when I had it out of a magnum back in January. However, this fully mature Cabernet is hitting on all cylinders. I don’t think the 750ml bottles will last much longer so drink up. Pop and pour with no decant.
