  Great energetic expressive nose of red berries and red currants. Soft with refreshing acidity. Very good balance and almost drinkable now but give it another 4-5 years to improve more. Best Village wine in show? 90-92p

  So pure. Nose is uplifting with lovely fine raspberry and red fruit. Complex and fine. Impeccable balance and just delicious in the mouth. Will need time though. 95-96p

  Very generous aromatic nose with lovely fruit and spices. Very fine balance and a fantastic mouthfeel with pure dark fruit. Prefer this to the Beaux Monts. 93-94p

  Elegant with fantastic pure fruit. High tannin and acidity and slightly earthy. Needs a lot of time. Should turn out fantastic in the end. Recently tasted the 2006 which had turned out brilliant. 93-94p

  Very fine expressive fruit towards dark berries. Fantastic elegant balance and not at all the sharp acidity I remember from the 2014's .Slight earth notes and a long finish. Very happy to have got hold of this one.

  Again a beautiful villages wine! Seductive fruit, lovely balance and lightness. Her best villages I have ever tasted over the last 4-5 years as en primeur. As a general remark, not just for Barthod wines, the difference between the Villages wines and the single vineyard wines is a lot smaller than anything I have tasted. 90-92p

  Very closed nose, earthy but with very nice fruit underneath the tannin and high acidity. Suprised to see how much more accessible and seductive the 2014 was at this early stage. Having bought this in the past I had high expectations that were not quite fulfilled. In all fairness it's maybe more a question of misguided expectations? Equally my notes don't have much resemblance with the pro reviews so I'm wondering if this could be an off bottle? 91-92p

  Another step up in quality but rather similar to Boudriotte in style but with more minerality. Good fruit and acidity, Very well balanced with a long finish. A very fine wine but maybe not as good as some previous vintages, has a bit less of that zing and minerality it usually has in store like for 2014 and 2010 (judging from my old notes) 90-91p. I can see the critics are ranking this higher than I did which is probably fair. Needs time in the bottle.

  Apples, pears with aromatic elegance. Not as filling as expected but rather refined to say the least. Lighter bodied than the Montrachet from Bouchard. Way overpriced though. 92-94p for potential.
