Oak. Buttery.
Needed half an hour in the freezer and an hour in the decanter. Then it blossomed.

I will buy again.

Awesome. Vibrant, youthful yet with good length. I have never ever used “chewy” to describe a Pinot Noir before but here we go. This wine is at a brilliant time space right now, but will get better.

Still youthful, clear rim. Firm tannins. From at double magnum. Paired well with a whole roasted lamb, smoked potatoes and chanterelle/creame sauce.

Way to young, not sure about potential. 87 for now, half of bottle left from yesterday, will revisit later today and update.

Bought the case on online-auction, paid US$25 per bottle, to cheap to be true? Anyone out there who’s been scammed on amarone deals?

Ok pinot. On the downside it is a tad jammy, not what I look for in a pinot. Drinks well now.

History has repeated itself. Should have saved at least a few more bottles now when this wine has improved so much. Last, final and best bottle out of the case.

Should have matched with a less prominant dessert, the choklatecake from Gateau was magnificent and this wine did not get the attention it deserves.

If a magnum bottle is perfect for two people, provided only one is drinking - how many should be drinking a 5 liter Jeroboam? In our case we were 11 :)

Easy drinker that still showed som youth at opening. Matched the olive mortadella, 6 month aged piccorino, truffle taleggio and cold smoked pork belly hors d'oeuvrs well. Perfect match to sauteed raindeer w lingonberry entrées.

Last bottle out of the case. 3 bottles where corked and the rest not very good quality. We are talking around 75p bad. Bad case? Or is it just the case of that this wine should be drunk very young?

Second bottle of the case, had the first in 2013. Has evolved and starting to show maturity signs. Most prominent is the alluring sweetness. Still tight knit and will hoppfullt get better over the next few years. Drank over 3 hrs, decanted.
