Dark berries, graphite, pepper, a little whole cluster spice.
Still has nice freshness. Would be perfect on a cool fall night. Enjoyable wine

Fresh sea breeze and citrus framed with some flint in the background. Taste goes more towards fresh peach.
Doesn’t show the 14.2% that’s on the bottle.
Feels balanced and fresh, delicious

High acidity, grapefruit and lime. Some liquid stone and a greenish herbal element. Really dominated by the acid right now

A little trapped CO2 on pouring. Smells like fresh pressed apples, a little lime zest and I thought I caught a little nuttiness. Some mouthwatering acidity and a lingering finish of fresh apple.

Best bottle yet.
Beautiful aromatics, raspberry, forest floor, spice.
Good acidity that’s in balance with the red fruits and tea flavor. Agree with others in a great spot. One bottle left

Peaches and apricots all day with a hint of lemon. Light and juicy, seems to have a mineral streak that is buried under the primary fruit. Delicious and so easy to drink

Clean lime, grapefruit, wet stone and some white floral tones.
Feels a little effervescent on first sip on the tongue. Maybe trapped CO2 or just how I’m perceiving acidity?
Juicy sweetish citrus and mineral palate.
Really enjoyed this bottle, wife loved it. Pretty similar notes on day 2.

Very bright nose, bright blueberry, slight herbaceousness, very faint olive but in the background, mostly fruit. On the palate carries with blueberry, pepper in the background, once again mostly dominated by fruit. Some drying tannins. I like this vineyard, a different showing than past years

Much better day 2. Popped and poured night one and was a little shy, acidity and tannin didn't seem integrated. Improved with air but day 2 was much better. Bright fresh red apple and raspberry. Has a piney quality to it. Have one more bottle and will wait 2-3 more years for that one

olive and cracked pepper nose, dark fruit, blackberries and blueberries, some stems, continues with more pepper.
Loved this syrah, all about balance and restraint. This is drinking really well now but should have some ageability

fresh turned earth, crushed raspberry, mineral, wet forest, violets, much better with some air and food. Had with lamb, great match to bring out the earthiness. One of my favorite JC syrahs.

initial impression of beef stew on the nose, in a good way, has graphite, fresh turned dirt and blackberry liquer, big dark fruit with some mocha on the palate. Carrying some tannin on the finish. Enjoyed, will wait until 2012 at least to pop the next.
