Red fruity nose. Light to medium bodied. A slight bit cough syrupy.

Dark purple color. Plum, pepper and spice on the nose, with what seemed like milk chocolate to me. A classic Syrah, perfect balance, tasting of black/blue fruit and a little spice, just enough. Paired with portobello chicken pasta and roasted wild mushrooms very nicely. Want more.

Before drinking, my expectations were high. Dark, inky purple color, lively aroma of black cherry wafting out of the glass with maybe a touch of spiciness. First sip though, right after popping the cork, was disappointing. Seemed very "flat." Let it sit for 30 minutes, and opened up very nicely! Let this one breathe a little, and it develops into a very good wine ... very good value at $14.

A very nice wine. Right up my alley. Strong aroma of strawberry and cherry. Well balanced, with black cherry flavor dominant but not overpowering. Medium bodied and well structured. Garnet colored. Drinking very well. A nice Garnacha driven blend. Highly recommended and a huge value at this price.

Drank this over three evenings. The first day, did not like it AT ALL. Second day, a little better. Third, it opened up really nicely! I enjoyed it. But it shouldn't take three days to get to a good state!

Brick red. Nice aroma and taste of cherries and chocolate. A powerful wine but not overly fruity. Well balanced, structured, drinking very well right now. Glad I have more.

Nice QPR for sure. Ruby or very light purple color. Strong black cherry and floral aroma. Totally agree with the easy drinking comments. Fruity, but not too much, smooth. Not much in the way of tannin or acidity in my view, realizing this is totally different from a prior reviewer. But enjoyable and a nice value!

Dark purple. Nice aroma of red fruit. Very well balanced. Taste is more of black fruit than red. A bit of spice shows through but not too much. Highly recommended and good value.

A very nice CDP. Had this in an earlier vintage at a restaurant not long ago and loved that one too. Didn't write down my notes but enjoyed it thoroughly. Everyone did.

Brick red with an orange edge. Aroma like a cartoon waft of strawberry, chocolate, leather, and raisins. Opened up very nicely with not much time at all. Elegantly structured. Sour cherry, gripping tannins as others have said. Nice, long fruity finish. Will buy more.

rjrausch has it right - and if I remember correctly, that's the second time this has happened recently. Light color. Plum and strawberry on the nose. Plum, raisin, and a kind of peach liqueur type of taste. I think that's the "mineral" others have noted. Almost like a sauvignon blanc. Which I love when I"m drinking white, but CDP not what I have come to expect. Right after mentioning to someone that I almost never taste a red wine I just don't like, my last two Cinderella wines were that way - the La Cueva del Contador and this one. Not that I totally don't like it, but leaning in that direction. Not one I would choose to have again when there are so many great wines out there.

Deep purple. Strawberries on the nose. Full-bodied, fruity, cherries. Not quite syrupy but rich fruit feel. Nice wine.

RJurman has it just exactly right. Beautiful nose, strawberry and fig flavors. But the taste did not live up to the nose, and was indeed sour as RJurman said. Sour cherries is dead on. Maybe blackberries. Love this type of wine but this one was only so-so.

Strawberries and spice on the nose, but deep rich cherry taste. Very much like kirsch liqueur. Almost syrupy even.

Dark purple with lighter violet rim. Nice rich aroma of blackberries, almost jammy. Not at all jammy in taste though. Light to medium bodied. Good fruit, slight spice in background/afterwards. Nice wine at a nice price.

Michael (storyteller) described this as "dark but light." And that is exactly right. This is a delicious wine, many different red fruit flavors and very Rhone like. Will be getting more of this.

Slightly muted nose for a Barolo, I agree with a prior reviewer on that. Delicious cherry taste, soft, smooth, silky. Very enjoyable drink.

Outstanding. Dark ruby red. Aroma of cherries, strawberries and chocolate. Big, lush taste with notes of strawberry and fig. Definitely fruit forward. A wonderful example of the strong 2007 vintage CdP.

Nice garnet color. Very aromatic, redolent with cherries. Solid strong yet graceful blend, tasting of cherries just like the nose. Agree with others who see Rhone similarities and for that matter I also see somewhat of a Barolo similarity in the red fruits, at least somewhat. I enjoyed this and I'm glad I have some more!
