Drank with Kevin, Vicki and Gary on 1/10/15. This was an excellent Oregon Pinot with elegance, balance and plenty of fruit.

Not at all complex or elegant on the palette or nose. Not much of a finish. I wouldn't buy it again.

Better on day 2--drink by date should be 2015 or later, not 2014

This is a very fruit forward wine that I'm sure many people will not like because of this aspect. I would not pay the usual $30 for it, but I was fortunate to get it for a very reasonable $15. I think that this wine is also reaching the end of its drinking window. It was good to begin with but faded over time.

I can't imagine a better tasting Riesling Auslese (Goldkapsel). It tastes as elegant as a sauternes, has a huge nose with hints of honey and tropical fruit and has a long finish.

Smooth, elegant, and well balanced. No grapefruit or grass on nose or palate. Not overly powerful. Good with mild white fish such as Tilapia. Drank with Jack Hanna--he purchased this bottle at Haskell's, Woodbury on 24 July 2013.

Complex, hints of pear, grapefruit, tropical fruit and melon on the nose and palate. Not grassy on the nose or palate. Very well balanced. Long finish. This is my favorite SB.

Grapefruit and grass on both the nose and palate--although not as strong as a typical SB. Crisp and refreshing.

Upon opening this bottle seemed flawed--it tasted like turpentine. However, on the 2nd day it seemed fine and there was no hint of the unpleasant taste.

At $17.99 a bottle, the QPR was good for this sparkling wine.

Drank at Kevin's "Grillin' and Chillin' Saturday Night" wine event. My #2 wine of the night--buttery but not too oaky. Lots of fruit on the nose and palette.

Drank at my PPWPP and Meet Jack Event. Not as complex, oaky or buttery as the Shafer Chardonnay. More citrus and tart acids than I like.

Jammy and fruity on the nose and palate. I thought it was much better than most of the others who posted notes. Could be that my palate was influenced by the Triple Cream Cambozola cheese that I ate while drinking the wine.

First tasted in March 2010. Tastes like a Sauternes. Need to compare with the 2006 vintage in the future. Again tasted at a MPLS. wine club event in Feb. 2011. It was great but I don't have tasting notes readily accessible.

I'm not convinced that this wine is past its prime; it is still enjoyable. Nose: fruit and spices. Palate: fruity, not very complex initially, some hints of pepper, still seems well balanced. The palate is even more open/complex after 1 hour of uncorking.
