The last bottle I had almost a year ago was not enjoyable. The wine now, though, is beginning to round into form. Some rich dark fruits are beginning to show and the tannins are smoothing out. Still not on par with the 2003 and 2004, but definitely gaining on them.

Great wine. Wasn't showing too much beyond a nice cherry taste, but with this time it is going to be really good.

This was enjoyable, but there is no way I would have ever guessed it was a Pinot. It had absolutlely no varietal characteristics, and would have more easily passed for a cabernet or a syrah.

Very nice bottle and a good first effort. The nose had a strong smell of sweet tobacco and coffee. The mouth was a bit more oaky with a slight hint of cherry. Looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

When I heard others describe this is a finesse wine I mistakenly believed that this wasn’t going to be a clearly Napa wine. Upon first smell and first taste I immediately realized I was mistaken in interpreting finesse in that manner. Make no mistake about it, this is clearly a California wine, but I clearly understand what people mean by finesse especially when compared to many of my other favorite California wines. On the nose there was a very creamy cherry smell intermixed with oak. On the palate I got dark cherries, light pepper and cassis. Although clearly tannic and youthful, the wine is definitely well-balanced and full of finesse as everyone else has said. Due to the clear youthful nature of the wine I wouldn’t say I committed infanticide and am glad I tried a bottle, but I won’t be touching either of my two remaining bottles for at least 2 if not 3 years.

Very nice sangiovese. Backs up my opinion that Temecula is situated to produce some wonderful tuscan varietals.

Enjoyable wine. Had a nice acid kick to go with the sweetness. Is the most sauternes like of any California desert wine I have had.

Very nice. Well balanced, good acid. Nice palate of cherries with some white pepper.

Drinking very nicely. Let it decant for about 1.5 hours, and was rewarded with beautiful black cherry. Still a lot of sharp tannins, so plan on wating a few years before opening another.

Am a huge fan of the foley wines, and especially the charbono. It was out of balance, and just wasn't getting the bright fruits I have gotten in past vintages. I hope it comes together with time as I have 4 more.

Enjoyable bottle. Not the depth of previous vintages, but a wine I am happy bought.

Not very good right now. I am planning on saving the rest for a few years in the hope something comes of it, but not sure if it has the fruit to hold up. A huge dissapointment.

wasn't impressed. My guest best described it as grape infused apples. Not exactly what I am looking for in a wine.

Great wine. Was drinking well now, but definitely needs some time for the tannins to blow off.

Great bottle. Was enjoyable after 5 hours of air, and even better two days later. Definitely think will get much better with more storage time.

Possibly best brunello I have had. Very earthy nose but a very fruity flavor. Going to buy more 99 brunellos before they can't be found anymore

Unbelievable Pinot. Incredible spice. It just got better over the three hour dinner, which makes me believe I probably should have waited much longer before opening.

A good, but not great bottle. Given the price point, I will probably buy the 2004 to give it a shot.

Enjoyable, but for the price point, $40-$50, I would rather spend the extra $10-$20 and have a bottle of the Shafer port.

Good wine, but definitely needs more time. At first was fairly tannic, closed and almost chalky, but after an hour and a half it really started to open up and even out.

A bit sweeter than most ports, but I definitely enjoyed it and think it is a good wine for its price range.

Last time I had this it was much better. Makes me wonder if it was an off bottle or if I merely let it sit too long before drinking

Really nice bottle, enjoyed it a lot. Weirdly, last time I tried it I did not. Wonder if the last one was merely corked, or if this is just an inconsistent wine.

Easily my favorite zinfandel. I have a lot of good zinfandels, but there is none that I enjoy drinking more than this one. I only wish I had a case more.

Unbelievable wine. It was definitely young and needs some time, but the frutis were clearly showing off next to the tannins. Can't wait tot ry this with a few more years of age.

Had it at a friends house around a month or two ago. It was definitely a hit. This time around there was really nothing to it but a strong sense of alcohol. Not sure whether the wine is done, or it was a bad bottle. I hope the latter because I have one left.
