Cork cracked when opening but looked good. Fruit. Tannins. Drink. Went well with food to without food.

Great. Drink up. Really sitting in a good place. Fruit. Acid. Food or no food.

Good structure and nose of dark berries. It was a bit sweet to me.

still somewhat tight for the first 30 minutes post open. tannis are there and structure is good. did not seem like a 16 year old bottle.

Surprised by the bottle. Opened and let sit for a couple of hours and drank over the following 3 hours. Started off a touch reserved, but then continued to open throughout the night. Bright and deep red fruit with enough acidity to keep it balanced.

Holding in, ust not sure how long the structure will last. I have a few bottles left and will drink over the rest of the year. deep purple and very rich. a mouth full. nothing thin about this one.

took about 20 minutes for the wine to open and integrate. the alcohol blew off and fruit came forward. in a good place right now.

a beautiful wine. Had strong primary red fruit nose as soon as the cork was popped which translated right into the taste. No decanting needed. The structure was still there, but secondary. It held up well over the hour of consumption.

bright darkish straw color, if that makes sense. rich, but not clawing. oak in the flavor profile, but no heat from it.

took some time to open, about 1.5 hours. still had structure and some acidity. berry came across on nose, but did not really come out on taste for about 1 hour in the glass and then continued to open strong.

Great bottle of Caymus. Holding in really well. Tasted young. Tannins died down but still has structure. Fruit is all there. Very nice pull from the cellar.

Great nose of dark red fruit. There was no heat. The tannins were weak and the wine was smooth. Not sure how long it holds up the structure, but the fruit showed little signs of fading. The nose held up all night.

Wow. I was totally surprised how alive and vibrant this wine was. There was structure and lots of dark red fruit. Really a wonderful surprise for us. I have another bottle that I would love to try next year, but not sure I can wait. Also, the cork shredded a little when I was trying to open it which made me a bit concerned, but no issues whatsoever.

pale/clear straw. nose is mineral with notes of tropical fruit. It is "thicker" than i thought it would. Fuller body. my wife tasted minerals I got the tropic fruit. there is still acidity that holds it together. really enjoyed this. No way i would have guessed it was a 6 year old.

the viognier definitely showed even with it only being 1/3 of the fruit. had the waxy nose that i liked and tropical fruit as well. was very cloudy in the glass. not sure if i waited a bit too long, but was a nice wine.

opened and drank. light in style and color initially with some nice acidity. I enjoyed the wine although thought it would be bigger. after 30 min the acidity picked up and I thought that the wine was done, but about 20 minutes later the fruit appeared big and strong still with nice structure from the acidity. This last profile was amazing and exciting. I will decant the next bottle for 30 min and see what happens.

it was slightly corked, if there is such a thing. beyond the cork taint there seemed to be such potential

I just did not like/appreciate this wine right now. The waxy element was there, which i like, but the heat took over and was very alcoholy. there was a sweetness, but the wine was just not as integrated as I like. I have one more bottle and will hold just to see how it develops. It was a deep yellow/golden color in the glass.

still has tannins and acidity to go longer. right out of the bottle the tannins and and acid took over with fruit on the nose, but not coming through. after about 30-45 min in the glass the fruit was open and in the front. will wait a few years before opening the others.

To me this is a perfect every day drinking red when you want big in your face wine. It is sweeter than I remember the last vintage. Some tannins on the finish. I might hold a bottle for a year to see how they develop, but I purchased as an inexpensive everyday drinker that I am happy with.

Opened and rank. Very smooth silky Pinot with good acidity, which I like. There was a cola element with light bright red berries. It got better with time in the glass. My first and glad I have more.

nose was great when I pulled the cork. The cork was totally together and no wine seepage at all. I was excited for the wine...after 10 min in the glass there was a vegital nose no fruit. It had no fruit taste, just tasted black and charcoali...
