More typical of a ripasso...semi dried grape method. Very fruit forward, not much complexity or oak, but nice dark currant and dark cherry notes. Leather and meat on the nose. I enjoyed...and would go back for more.

Like this nice blend. Compliments lamb and beef. We had smoked burgers tonight. Awesome balance to the blend. Dark fruit forward w some heat still on it...would do nicely decanted for an hour or two.

Wish I had waited, but couldn't. Wanted to taste the new kid on the block. As someone who doesn't like pure francs, I was worries, but wow. Big fruit. Balanced tannins. Great nose. Meaty nose, with a long finish. I wish every wine maker doing pure francs would spend a season learning from Oakville East. Just fantastic. I'm a believer.

Very light for a zin. I've had this open for a few days trying to get into it more each day. It's a good wine, bright, young (obviously). Fresh berries. Acidic. Vanilla.

Very tight at the opening...will benefit from some air. Big red fruit... forward on the palate. Hint of molasses. Well balanced and nice longish finish. A little cedar on the nose. I like it. Opened with some hard cheeses - paired nicely. Also would go nicely with some very dark chocolate.

Had at a traditional french bistro - great wine for the price - cedar notes, heavy tannins at first - softened and opened up after an hour. Ended up being a nice wine.

Nice depth and longish finish. I staged this wine over several nights and by the third night it really opened up. Will let my others sit for a few years. Overall, this wine has a wonderful nose, big dark fruit forward, but still with a bit of heat on it....which mellowed after opening up.

Dark color. It's balanced with a full body. Decanted for 2-3 hours - opens beautifully or great out of the shoot. Silky texture with a very long finish. Had this wine 2 years ago and it was great... even better now...promises to get better with age! Waiting another year or two before opening my next.
