From Mag, double decanted in the afternoon like last week, still needs quite some air to open up! Cork not fully soaked this time, not as much singing as the bottle last week but still a great showing…

Leakage, cork fell into bottle when put upright…still somewhat drinkable but no rating possible. What a pity…

From Mag, double decanted in the afternoon, cork fully soaked, nice nose but muted taste at opening, fantastic showing at dinner with lamb racks, fully marure but with reserves for a few years left, great balance, old school and only 12,5% alcohol. Exceeded expectations!

Drank over 2 days, fruit forward and enjoyable with quite some structure on day 1 but closed down on day 2. Definitely too young in my opinion, will wait 3-5 years before the next one.

Clearly not a German type of Riesling, wood is present, feels higher in alcohol and therefore also “comforting” rather than “laser sharp”. Very nice nonetheless and a bit higher in sugar I would guess. Drink now

More open than the 1st bottle 5y ago, some red fruit and a modern Ribera style (little oak) but somewhat dusty tannins. The wine changes a lot in the glass over time. Enjoyable but not really sure what to make out of this given the reputation and the vintage...

From Mag, still quite tannic after several hours of air, old school and somewhat monolithic - very masculine in a way. Incredible this has only 12,5% alcohol. Drink (with people that enjoy classic claret) or hold.

From Mag, 5h decant, medium body, fruit forward, great balance, fine tannins, everything fits together, very enjoyable tonight, should develop nicely over the next 5-10 years but no harm to open a bottle now…

From Mag, 5h decanted, some (red) fruit left, very aromatic and with clear similarities to Amarone, however alcohol very well integrated, both original and appealing to the table. Should hold for another 5+ years but in a very nice spot right now

A bit more evolved than my last bottle 5y ago, perfect cork and again a fantastic showing - perfectly integrated fruit, great structure, fantastic balance, love it. However, slightly fading on day 2 therefore drink-up in the next few years.

Last bottle, again an incredibly strong showing with perfect balance between fruit and ripeness, not too heavy, did not even deteriorate much on day 2 so still some reserves left! Love this wine and hope the younger ones will develop similarly

Tasted on the vineyard, composition is a secret but composed of three different varieties. First a bit tannic but that resolves quickly and wine becomes very smooth and elegant with a bit of air. Definitely interesting! Should hold for another 5-7 years.

Really not my kind of wine. This was my last 0,75 bottle of this vintage, had them between 2015 and now and never really appreciated any of them. Nose is ok but somehat unbalanced and even sour on the palate. Even worse on day 2 so apparently not a problem of aeration. Maybe the whole lot was off or it was the vintage or just not the wine for me…

Very impressive - I can only repeat myself (note from Nov 22). Only thing to add is that there is quite some sediment so filter or keep upright for a while before drinking.

Perfect cork (again) and great showing for a 1994 (again). This is almost at par with 1998 which I had 2 weeks ago. Perfectly ripe Pomerol which should hold a few more years at this level.

MB never disappoints, the youngest of the Red wines that evening (Evangile 1998 & Solaia 2001 were the others) but this 2012 was clearly at par with a perfect fruit and many layers underneath that promise an even greater future. An absolute blockbuster with a classic touch.

Very dry, needed some time to open-up in the glass, we paired it with Gorgonzola which worked well, interesting and unusual but I preferred both the Gaja & Rey 2002 (Chardonnay) and the Heavens Door 2009 (Sauvignon Blanc) we also had that evening.

DMag & 0,75 both opened ca 3h before consuming; less difference than I expectd after 15y. Dmag was a bit softer, rounder while 0,75 a bit more punch in the beginning. Both bottles at peak in my opinion, still very elegant for 15% and not hot at all.

Much better than the 2 previous ones which were somewhat „dusty“ - probably off bottles? These ones were generous and ready to drink, for me a nice expression of Australian „terroir“!
