We thought we better crack open our last bottle when we saw the consensus drink-by date of 2017...honestly, we think it is still drinking fine! Not that we’d wait much longer if we had another bottle, just to be on the safe side. But a powerful Pinot, just the way we like it!

Excellent...really in a good place and we see no reason it couldn’t make it another year, in fact. The whole Terre Nere stable probably our favorite Etna Rosso...especially QPR-wise.

Good...really good. Really, really good...but not great. Considering it was our very first bottle of Cayuse, perhaps simply our anticipation was too great and expectations wildly out of check. Maybe another year or two will make all the difference so will hold off and try it again next year...

Mamma mia, sublime! First Huet sec we’ve ever had and we both have a new favorite white wine! Can’t wait to try another of Huet’s vineyards to compare!

Fair to middling...not bad but nothing to raise an eyebrow. Nothing I’d pour down the sink, but probably wouldn’t buy again.

Decanted and started drinking after 40 minutes. I would concur with a previous tasting note...good but not great. Was hoping for more but must also asterisk this review with the acknowledgement that we are not frequent drinkers of Grenache. Busted this out to see if we should continue purchasing now that the 2016 is available and I must say we will likely decline considering the price point.

PnP...also still drinking quite nicely! A real solid value cellar defender...that just perhaps has earned a promotion into the front line of the actual cellar. Would buy another case.

Fairly one dimensional...not that one should expect deep complexity in a Pinot Noir at the $16 price point, but there are better cellar defenders to be had.

Mamma Mia...our first tignanello and it was amazing! And this was a straight PnP at a restaurant...maybe waited 20 minutes in the glass before starting to consume. The length went on and on...can’t wait to delve into the 2004!

Still hanging in there, in our opinion. Our last bottle PnP at a restaurant last night and it might have even been our most enjoyable of the five bottles!

A solid, mid-week wine. Nothing to bring to a shindig, but nice 'defender of the cellar'.

Ok...maybe some drop off now. Decanted at a restaurant for 30 min and drank over next 90. Was still a great wine in that 45-90 min decanted timeframe, but maybe some dropoff at that point. We will probably try to drink our last two bottles over the next year, but I should mention the somm thought it had a good two years at least still in it.

Certainly a quality wine for this price point, but I'll definitely reach for Columbia Crest H3 in the future for a bargain cab.

Wife thought highly of this wine...and she is not really a fan of whites! I might not be quite as high on it, but no doubting it is a great value at 11bucks. Also not detecting any drop off...not sure this couldn't last til next summer...

My last 2008. This was a darn good vintage, but gotta say I liked the 2004 more. Love these wines as very low maintenance...PnP and they are ready to drink in no time! Therefor perfect for bringing to a restaurant. Also make great gifts due to unique bottle shape...on to the '09's!

Mamma Mia, what a New Years Eve! Broke this out at a wonderful rural restaurant/Inn...that unfortunately didn't have a decanter, though. PnP...started drinking 30 min in. Excellent, but about the 90 min mark it really elevated to an elite level. Amazing! Brought it back to the room and finished it off while watching the '77 La Bohème performance at the Met...Luciano and the wine just kept getting better and better! No regrets at all, but man this wine deserved to be decanted for an hour...who knows what levels it could have reached! No urgency to polish these off, but deserves to be enjoyed at its peak...

In my top 5 bang for the bucks...opened and drank 90min later...I'm guessing didn't need that long, though. Drank over 90 further minutes with no regression.

I appreciate the 'bouquet' of this so much more now that I've invested in quality snifter glasses! Did feel like the last couple oz. were not as powerful as the first two nights, though.

I'll say this bottle was flawed as this was the first time I had an issue, but I fear this one is done...hardly any effervescence left. Very happy this was my last bottle...

While I definitely still enjoyed this quite a bit, not as much as last year. PnP and started drinking after 30 min. Wouldn't say it ever started going south over the two-three hours we drank it, but will probably drink my last bottle sooner rather than later just to be on the safe side...

decanted 30 min. and drank over 2 hours. Definitely pleased with its evolution the last couple years...better than I thought it would be. I'd say a 90 but the wife felt it was a solid 91. A smidge better than the '01 and a lot better than the '03. Considering I got it for a mere $18, definitely pleased.

Decanted for 30 min. before starting to drink. Never felt it started going downhill at any point over 2 hours consumed so wouldn't necessarily say this is drink ASAP, but strictly an average wine at this point. Enjoyable, but don't be saving this for a special meal...both '01 and, in particular, '04 noticeably better.

Am in agreement w/ WormFarmer...Busted out a bottle last night with much trepidation after all the poor reviews...with great relief, my experience was not nearly as bad. But on the other hand, would not say it was as good as Rhone Report or Purple Pages graded. Was pretty atrocious after PnP...with my negative fears going into it, was fearing this might even be a dumper...about 30 min before it started becoming enjoyable to sip. Drank over two hours and wouldn't say there was any regression.
