Fabulous nose of raspberry, black cherry, red licorice, and a little funk. Nice body, balance and lingering finish. Probably needs another year or two to open up some more, but delicious as is.

NIce nose - raspberry, strawberry, earthy notes. Very oaky on the palate, along with brambly berry and earth. Good texture and balance. Mellows with some time in the glass. Not bad...but not worth the price.

A gorgeous Valpo. Highest tannin Valpo I've ever had. Lots of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, plum), some bacon, licorice, raisin. Luscious texture, long finish, really complex. Beautiful!

Big, bold, young! I wouldn't guess 100% Merlot - seems more Cab-like.... I opened, aerated a glassful, and served a day later. Still not enough time - it starts off really oaky and a bit harsh. But it did mellow nicely after 30 minutes in the glass. A head-turner!

A nice older Chard. Surprisingly high acidity, still. Lots of fruit - pear, pineapple, lime, apricot, apple. Also honey, white flowers, butterscotch (getting slightly oxidized). Aging well! Complex. Long finish.

Nice, clean Pinot Bianco. Pear, citrus, white peach, herbal, nutty, wet stoney minerality. A little flabby on mid-palate, but a nice, long, crisp, complex finish. Great bargain!

Gorgeous Cab. I would guess it has more Merlot in it than 6%, along with some Cab Franc (but none in the blend). Round, smooth, opulent, still lots of fruit. Well balanced.

An interesting Pinot. Appearance and nose are very Burgundian - light color, lots of earthy, mushroomy notes on the nose. A lot of earthiness on the palate, but also the more typical RRV brambly raspberry. Also some cherry, licorice, strawberry. A little hot, but otherwise nice balance and texture. Loved it!

In a blind tasting I would have guessed a 5-8 year old left bank Bordeaux. Lots of pencil shavings, tobacco, plum, berry, cedar, licorice. Well balanced, vibrant, smooth. Gorgeous!

Interesting marine nose - salt, iodine, along with some pear, melon. A little effervescent (excess CO2). Nice attack, but very flat & flabby mid-palate and finish. OK, nothing special.

Wow! Quite an experience.... Lush, rich, incredibly complex, finish lasts forever. Balsamic vinegar and black licorice are the dominant flavors that linger. Also lots of chocolate, candied orange, raisin, coffee. Worth every penny....

A little different than their 2013 Pecorino. I would guess SB on this - with grapefruit and mild cat pee notes. Also pear, floral, herbs. Crisp acidity, nice long finish. Great QPR.

To me, not much of the semillon comes through in this blend. Lots of cat pee and grapefruit, with high acidity. A little fuller body than SB, and a little waxiness and white peach notes. Still quite enjoyable, but to me this resembles more of a NZ SB than a white bordeaux.

Typical Gavi - lime, green apple, melon, very herbal, salty. High acidity, medium body, medium finish. The herbal notes overwhelm initially, but it comes together a little more with some air time. Nice drink.

This needs air time to open up. Initially very acidic and one dimensional. But it grew on me over time. Definitely Burgundian - significant brett, earthy, noticeable tannins. But a little darker and heavier on raspberry/bramble than most burgs. While it's a bit hot and oaky, the texture is nice and the finish is fairly long.

Cloudy appearance - but this is supposedly filtered? Muted nose, but notes of honey, floral, melon. More on the palate - waxy, fig, grapefruit. Full bodied, medium+ acidity, long finish of fig and grapefruit. The cloudiness and muted nose makes me wonder if this bottle is a bit off. But the complexity, balance, finish are all quite nice.

50/50 Grechetto/Viognier, aged in large oak and chestnut barrels. Pear, melon, sweet lime, peach, floral, perfume aromas. That and oak on the palate. Medium+ body, high acidity, high alcohol. Long finish with nutty, perfumey, citrus rind notes lingering. I will aerate for a while on the next one to hopefully tame the initial oakiness and heat and perfume. Well balanced, nice complexity, long finish - all signs of a very good wine.
