Fruit forward, both a bit red and black at least to me. Very well balanced and long finish. Not earthy. Quite good with pork.

Ugh. Bitter and sour notes. There is red fruit but there seems to be something wrong. Has long aftertaste of anise. Not my cup of tea (or glass of wine). Maybe it’s a bad bottle. I had bought 2 so will give the other a try and let y’all know.

Preconceived notions likely prevent others from liking this. It is clearly a rioja for taste profile but to me not quite a reserva. I’m missing most oak. That said, it is a fine wine. And it’s $8. It tastes like or better than many crianzas twice that price. No, this is not a $20+ bottle of wine but it is an excellent buy. I will buy more. Not for a special occasion but excellent weekday wine.

Fairly light bodied. Strawberry. Low tannins. Easy to drink but not memorable.

Aroma of a much older wine than it is (in a good way). Very well balanced dark fruit with some wood and earth. This was my first introduction to Lebanon and I loved it. Will try more.

Drinking well already. Soft tannins but present. Good dark fruits which are subtle. Some oak as well.

Not very oaky for a grab reserva. Almost light bodied. Nothing bad but bland.

Excellent beaujolais. Mostly red but some black fruit. More body than most and a longer finish. Complex. My score may be inflated a bit based on how affordable this was infinitely better than the standard $10 beaujolais and not much more.

Ripe red fruits. Low to moderate tannins. Very pleasant with roast.

A little too jammy for me. Jammy red fruits. Not bad but almost with a sweet hint, not actual sugar if course but that jammy/fruit preserves flavor.

Does not taste like a reserva. Minima oak. Not we’ll balanced. Not even sure what flavors.

Really nice for the price. Crisp with apples and possibly citrus. Almost got it confused with an Albariño (which is our standard go to white). Not very buttery but it’s unpacked so that makes sense. We liked it.

Bright fruit, well balanced. Execellent on own or with pasta and red sauce.

Very very oaky, even for a reserva but I like that. Good cherry and earth/soil as well. I definitly plan to buy more.

First, it’s a 7.99 bottle from Costco, so really is anyone expecting a truly superb wine? With that said, this is my absolute favorite Kirkland wine. It clearly has all the characteristics of a cote du Rhône and is solid. Very little depth but that’s what you get for this price.

Not bad but it is “crisp” and more citrus and even slightly sweet. I like my champagne a bit more “yeasty.”

Jammy with red fruits as well as some oak and leather maybe? Hard for me to tell but it was very enjoyable.

Quite good. We’ll balanced fruit but mainly on fruit. I got a lot of bacon.

I actually liked this blend when it first came out. Once bottle was saved and I decided to open while watching the new series. It wasn’t very good. Over-ripe red fruits. Almost sweet. Single note. A few others thought it was OK, but not for me.

Great for price. Tastes like a real riserva, oaky, yet soft tannins.

A little acidic or astringent at first but this cleared very quickly. I didn’t decant, just used big Pinot glasses. Nose of black fruit (plumb maybe) and herbs. I thought very well balanced. Tannins are there but not overpowering. Quite enjoyable by us. We will buy again.

For the price of this wine is is quite good. I agree that it is not a typical reserva without the nose or flavor of the extended aging. It tastes like a typical low priced crianza. Not very earthy. I get cherries? Maybe not. It’s a little hard to tell. I think flavors are muddled. However, this was less than $10 at Costco. It’s easy and for this price I will but it again. Don’t save it for anything special though.

Not good, even at this price point. The aromas and flavor were not bad but no depth. Also near non existent bubbles. A similarly priced Cava would be much better.

Very well balanced. Earthy. For the age and the price I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a “budget” Barolo, but did not taste like one. I will buy again.

Surprisingly good for price. Red fruits. We’ll balanced. Nothing special and no significant structure but for under $10, I’ll buy it again.

Not sure if it was too old or damaged but way too fruity. Tasted like alcohol + grape juice.

Not as good as others. A little too much tobacco and leather and not particularly well balanced. Maybe another year in bottle. But still, for the price it was good but I liked the 2017s better.

Drinking very well. Mellow with red fruits and earthy notes. We’ll balanced. Good but not particularly long finish. This will still be good for a while. No need to drink now. Overall an excellent Barolo for the price.

Garnet to brown in color. Chocolate and coffee on the nose as well as ripe/jammy red fruits. Same on the palate and low tannins. Really drinking we’ll. It is also just “different” but in a good way. Clearly not a “traditional” grape but this is not a flaw. We need more of the non-cab/Pinot/Tempranillo/etc.

Raisins, dates, some figs. Sweet but we’ll balanced. As noted, very different than the PX 1927, but that’s neither good nor bad, just don’t expect the same.
