My favourite Riesling does it again!

Powerful nose, reminiscent of a Burgundy with oak (one blind guess was Burgundy) but with a hint of rubber. Peaches, flowers and complex. Long lasting finish that almost makes you feel the minerals on the tongue.

Love it already!

A lot of honey on the nose. Absolutely wonderful. Deep and complex and developed all night long. I smelled the glass and almost drowned...

In the mouth it didn't felt perfect. A little bit low on acid and maybe to ripe. If this was a week bottle or the vintage I do not now. What I do know is that 1990 has given me this experience before (Salon and DP).

Still a fantastic wine! Drink now if you can.

Dark and intense color as usual for SQN. Lots of fruit, mainly blackberry and some pepper. In the backround leather or tobacco.

Had it semi blind and it was easy to spot. Love these powerful wines!

So young byt so good!

Low on tannins and high on fruit as always. Mainly blackberries. Some plums as well. Dark and thick with full power and a little ripe sweetnes. Almost like drinking a liqueur. Long and intense finish.

The opposite of an elegant burgundy but I love it.

Almost perfect! Matured and perfectly balanced. Less citrus and acidity than its litte brother NF 96, also feels more of oak and PN. Complex with subtle layers of flavours. Long taste.

Shame they dont make it anymore...

A fanastic Champagne in so many ways...One guessed CdM 1996. Some almonds and lots of fruit with some cirus and mineral. Still viral with good acidity and a bargain back in the days. Drink now or enjoy in ten years.

Btw the 2002 show the same potential.

Butter scotch, caramel and ginger bread. Mature and balanced. Long after taste with a hint of burnt sugar.

Delicious and the best as well as oldest VV de Cremant I have tasted. Will stock up on the 2008 and hope for the best!

Apple and almond on the nose. High but integrated acid like most 08:s. Long taste with a touch of vanilla. Best of the Roederer 08 family so far...

Flowers and fruity with apricot and hint of choclate. Little classic petrol fumes from the riesling and long finish. Fat and sweet taste. Brilliant!

Tasted semiblind but didnt spot it. Only had St Vincent 96,00 & 08 before.

Powerful and masculine nose with gunpowder and chalk, reminiscence of Krug and DP which many agreed on. The taste was short and not so complex which made me confused. Couldnt be Krug... still guessed DP 06 so it was a pleasant surprise when the bottle was revealed.

If you like this style go for it, its a bargain and in a perfect phase (peak?) now.

Expressvie esoteric PN grower champagne with lots of red apples and almonds. Young bottle but mature taste, feels like a solera.

The 96 has finally entered the drinking window as the acidity has become integrated.

Marsipan, orange and apricot marmalade. Long and intense taste, complex and an ending of little caramel.

Excellent! One of the best champagnes I had the last years.

Powerful beast with lots of blackberry, black olivs and animal tones of meat. Long taste with much residual sugar, still 14 % alcohol. Unique wine and maybe not for everyone, also the thickest (literally) wine I have tasted.

Well worth a try around 55 €.

Newly discover producer for me and I like it a lot.

Coffey, apple and chocolate with some mashed bananas. Elegant and complex champagne with long aftertaste.

Eager to try the 2002 now.

Retasted this wine recently and was not as surprised as the first time. Still a complex nose reminiscent of quality champagne but the taste was shorter and more like a standard NV.

Remark: Tasted this bottle after a Krug tasting including CdA and CdM so maybe unfair.

Overall still a good wine and a dark horse in blind tastings but I have to downgrade it a couple of notches.

Lovely nose with berries like cherry and strawberry, some butter scotch. Developed all night and out came the flowers.

Surprisingly mature, our more correct balanced for being a magnum of 2008. This is the best of Roederers vintage champagnes so far and it will most likely be even better with time!

Elegant wine with some green vegetable notes, reminded me of bordeaux and Cab F. Not powerful but a very good match with game.

My first 100 % merlot and it was a pleasant surprise.

Almond, raisins and baked cake on the nose. Lime and vanilla on the palate. A slow developing monster, took some time to open up but lasted the hole evening.

More butter and bread than citrus together with some nuts and cream makes this NV BdB (2008 basewine) a great experience and value. (Magnum tasted)

Never heard of this producer until recently but will definitely try more of his wines soon!

Mature powerful nose. At first slightly oxidated but after a hour it opens up wth almond and honey. One of the best Cristal tasted for me so far.

Complex with smokiness reminiscence of Salon... for me a fantastic champagne already today and a bargain right now. But it will be even better and most likely be a 100 $ champagne soon.

Can't wait for the Chetillion 2008!

Served it blind. Everyone thought it was champagne (I would too) and it wasn't the first time it happened.

Complex nose with nuts and caramel makes it a contender at least blind. Better than most NM houses NV:s.

Ready to drink already but will probably be even better with time!
