Seems a little subdued & fruit has somewhat faded. Still a decent hit of zesty lemon on the palette though not picking up much else, expecting a lot more of the aged Semillon characteristics. None of the usual butteryness or straw and toast notes.

I received this wine in a mixed case from Vinomofo. One of those lucky dip cases i often get suckered into purchasing on the slim chance of winning a bottle of grange.

I cracked this open not expecting much though was pleasantly surprised. Quite the mid-week quaffer. Lot of cherry & cranberry on the palate slightly peppery finish. Nothing too complex here, nothing special just a decent pinot, easy to drink and worked well with a mid-week roast chicken.

Last bottle I had of this wine and drank over 2 days. Nose of lemons and dry straw. Bit of acid up front, good to pair with something creamy/fatty to balance. Drink now.

This is a top notch hunter shiraz. Decanted for about 3 hours to really open up. Lots of plum & cherry on the palate along with a good hit of spice, tobacco & earth. The medium body gives this wine a level of subtle sophistication, velvety to silk tannins with a medium finish. A well balanced wine and a complexity that holds your interest. Enjoyed alongside a Black Angus bavette steak.
Very approachable now though excited to see how this develops over the years to come.

$9 Wine but drinks like an $11.25 Wine

For a mid-week quaffer it does the job. Lots of spice, quite peppery, hints of vanilla and clay. Plums and blackberries with a subtle balance of oak.

Nothing special but very drinkable when you're just hunting for a glass to have with your steak or lamb dinner. Can't go wrong investing a tenner on this one.

Lemon Curd and summer fruit on the palate, light oak and butter texture gives this wine some balance and complexity but nothing too special here.

For a tenner this is a decent mid week quaffer. Full bodied, plenty of plum and black currant followed by a lot of spice, quite a peppery finish.

Paired well with a steak dinner or a meaty pasta. At only $10 a bottle you can even sacrifice a couple of splashes for the pasta sauce.

Light bodied. Nose is quite floral & perfumed though also picking up raspberries.
Cranberries & Quince on the palette, very smooth and silky tannins. Medium finish, pleasant mouthfeel

Lovely Hunter Semillon at this price point. Plenty of lime, grapefruit and pink lady apples on the palette, a touch of straw and honey coming through.
Decent length and the soft acid profile makes this quite delicate and approachable. Drinking nicely now though patience will see this wine develop further complexity and those classic aged hunter Semillon characteristics over the years ahead.

Strawberries, Eucalyptus, currents and plum on the nose.
Cherries, raspberries, spice and some slight floral notes on the palette. Nnot as much fruit as I'd expect from a McLarenVale Grenache, grippy tannins. Quite a long finish. Drink within the next 2 years

Good example of classic Yarra Valley Pinot. Great structure to this wine, cranberries, raspberries up front moving to dark plum and more savoury notes of straw and soil. Surprisingly a little shy to start but opened up nicely after a few hours in the decanter.

Needed a good few hours to really open up and still drinking Ok the next day. Lots of spice initially and quite peppery. Balanced with a mouthful of dark plum, mulberries and blackberries. Plush tannins.

Great midweek quaffer. Agree with a previous reviewer that this would go down a treat at a casual weekend BBQ. Would buy more at this price. Wouldn't hold this for more than another 3 years.

Another great Pinot Noir from Tim Knappstein. Always a reliable & elegant drop for the price. Lots of Cherries & under-ripe plum on both the palette. Quite floral and fruity Nose. Nice structure and good drinking!

Very enjoyable wine, full of buttery pink lady & granny smith apples, hint of lemon rind and straw. Paired well with some lobster rolls and fresh prawns. Bought this from the cellar door in Yarra Valley, drinking well now and a great purchase at this price point.

I received this wine for free in a hamper and my expectations were very low. It's an OK drop, Lots of fruit up front, mostly dark ripe plums and a hint of spice. Nothing overly special or complex here. Fairly run-of-the-mill shiraz at the $20 price point. I wouldn't be disappointed if this was served as a house red at he local RSL but wont be running out to buy a bottle.

Light Yellow straw colour and a wonderful citrus bouquet of lemon, grapefruit and freshly cut grass. Lovely complexity with flavours of crisp granny smith apples, passion-fruit, buttery, light oak to finish. Wonderfully balanced, it's like springtime in a glass.

This wine is drinking well now. Dry, Medium bodied, savoury with grippy tannins though enjoyable and pleasant finish. I found myself hunting for the fruit with some very subtle over-ripe cherry balanced with hints of earth & dried leather starting to develop.

Ripe cherries & cranberries balanced well with a touch of spice & a hint of oak. Velvetty, almost silky tannins. Drinking well now, decanted for an hour. Wish I had a few more of these in the cellar.

Hit of alcohol upfront, though mellowed after many hours in the decanter. Deep purple colour. Lots of plum, prune, blackberry with a touch of spice, cinnamon, cardamom. Drinking OK now though think another couple of years would help.

Still drinking well, some typical fruits upfront, cherries and poached plums followed by some light liquorice and earth. Smooth light tannins, wouldn’t keep this one around for much longer though. Happy with this drop for the price point
