Honey and walnut bread in liquid form. I would prefer this over many champagnes.

Red fruits, hints of undergrowth and cigar box, some blood at the end. Medium body. Something slightly medicinal - well, it's from Hospital after all!

As acidic as a bottle tasted 5 years ago, but this is a bit corked.

Very rustic, dark fruits with an odd bit of oak sticking out. Needs food. Went very well with the roast guinea fowl.

Kirsch, dark cherries on the nose initially, followed by some coffee notes with 2 hours breathing. Alcohol sticking out a little. Tannins almost non existent. Young nose but texture of an aged bordeaux - interesting stuff. Last glass on the third day by far the greatest!

Somehow this tasted more like a barolo to me. Still young. Minerality unbalanced with the rest of the ingredients.

Quite dense with some refreshing acidity. Promising but shut down at the moment.

Still very young and austere. Needs 5 to 6 hours of decanting. Went quite well with rabbit.

Elegant, smooth and round. Not complex or deep but very enjoyable. Drink now.

Smooth, ripe and round. A little too sweet perhaps. I would prefer the Bourgogne '14.

Relatively deep colour for a Bourgogne. Ripe. Some oak making things out of balance at the moment. Still young of course.

My wedding wine. Very well balanced and smooth. At it's peak.

Needs loads of time. More like a Beaujolais at the moment. Slightly more sophistication with 2 hours of air, but got shy quite quickly. 88 for now.

From a half, decanted for 1 hour. Typical Margaux on the nose, medium bodied and smooth tannins. Already enjoyable.

Stones and a bit of almond on the nose. Nice acidity. More powerful than the average Bourgogne. Enjoyable now or later.

Very closed. Not a lot on the nose and increasingly tannic with air. Almost Bordeaux-like texture. In a confused state at the moment. Needs lots of time. 86 for now.

PnP in the afternoon. Red brick. Warm red fruits and a bit of funk on the nose. Ripe and sweet on the palate, medium bodied, a bit short at the end. Recorked for dinner. After four hours, the funk went away, keeping the warm red fruits, then a bit of dates and steel emerged. Slightly longer now. Don't think this wine would benefit from or withstand any decanting. Pair with light dishes. Would recommend drinking up.

Tar, dark cherries, warm earth and mocha on the nose. Quite evolved on the palate. Not long. A nice food wine after two hours in the decanter. Near or at its peak.

Tasted at the chateau after eating a botrytised grape in the vineyard. Light and refreshing, good balance between sweetness and acidity. Apricot and tropical notes, hints of orange peels on the finish. Still in barrel but already quite approachable.

From a half bottle. Leather and green notes dominate. Smooth tannins but not yet very exciting. Would keep a couple more years.

From a half bottle and decanted for 2 hours. Somewhat muted on the nose at the moment but there are hints of cassis and warm earth. Smooth tannins and approachable now, though a couple more years in the cellar won't harm. Good value.
