I've had this bottle in my cellar for approx 15 years. Slow oxidation in bottle for 2 hours. Brownish color. Very mature dusty flavors of dried fruits - rasins, figs, sour cherries, and prunes. Hints of oak, black tea and dark chocolate. Some pleasant bitterness, but the alcohol quite present and a little too "hot" on the aftertaste and missing some freshness IMHO. All in all - a fully matured and lovely Amarone true to the style - but not my style anymore. 90+

Bought at the estate around 10 years ago. I was honored to experience a tasting with Domenico just month before he sadly died.
Enjoyed with family at my wife's 50th birthday dinner party. Brownish light red color. Lovely mature classic flavours of cherries, cranberries, lavender, black tea, asian spice and vanilla/oak. The tannins were present although well integrated. Medium acidity. Overall, a beautifully matured barolo from a great winemaker, thanks - RIP.

Pnp and comsumed over 3 hours! Red-brownish color. Lovely nose of sour cherries and plum. Some cedar, lilac and herbal notes as well.
Soft mouthfeel, cherry, pulm, well integrated oak and tannins. Medium+ acidity. Unfortunately, a bit watery on the finish!
Overall, an enjoyable mature glas of burgundy. Still reasonable fruit but I think it’s past it’s prime and on the downslope. It’s time to drink up! 91p

The best champagne I’ve had so far! Spectacular in so many ways. Complex and developed in flavours yet fresh, refined and perfect balance! Long finish with medium acidity! 96p

Decanted 3 hours. Packed black fruit, oak, dark chocolate, spices and pleasant tannins! Modern style. Drink or hold another 5-8 years. 91p

Clearly modern style. Dark fruits, some dusty flavours, spice/anise, and a lot of oak/cigar box/vanilla. Nevertheless, a well made wine in its own style with good structure, decent balance and medium length. The mature fruit flavors actually carries the rather heavy use of oak quite well. Paired nicely with slow cocked Osso Buco and risotto. 89-90p

PnP. Quite primary. Fresh flavors of apples, minerality, white flowers and peach. A little yeast/bread in the background. Fine bubbles and lovely balanced acidity. Still a teenager but with great expectations for a promising adulthood. For now 92-93P - potentially 93-95P

No formal notes. 4 hour decant. Big wine, blackberries and cassis, cedar/oak and well integrated tannins. Drinking well with a few hours of air but still potential to develop further complexity.

Delicious, but little too much oak and modern in style to my taste. Missing the classic purity and elegance of CM.

My first DP. Fine tiny bubbles and despite the vintage very elegant and very linear. Mix of elderflower and other white flowers, green apples, citrus. had expected bit more "umf" and a longer finish - but maybe I drank this too early?!

Still very primary and closed down. Slowly opened up after 1-2 hours when the bottle was almost finish. Will let the rest of my bottles rest for another 2-3 years and give a good decant!

Transparent color and persist bubbles. Apples, white flowers, citrus and good acidity, quite short finish. Not very complex but solid "every day" champagne! Found this at 20€ which is a very fair QPR!

Based on the last couple of reviews I decided to revisit before I had promised myself - and I'm happy I did!!
Almost black/dark purple color. Nose and palate not to complex at this point but fortunately it seems to have lost its "artificial smell". Dark berries, oak, pencil shavings and a little earthiness dominates. Medium+ body and good tannic grip on the finish but with a slightly unpleasant dryness to it.
All in all - a much better experience what last time almost 3 years ago, although it leaves me thinking if this wine is a little over-extracted??

No decant. Giving nose of citrus, white flowers and minerals but also more developed fruit flavors of yellow apples and mango. Has definitely put on some more weight since last bottle. Love fruity layered texture on the palate but well kept in place by a refreshing and well balanced acidity. This is a spectacular "entry"-riesling (often referred to as GG quality and I agree) and a stellar QPR at 17-20 €! Drink now or within the next 3-5 years!

Beautiful nose - modern style barolo but still no doubt about the origin. Dark cherries, star anise, leather, tobacco and wood. The palate is at the moment not as complex and actually quite anonymous the first 1-2 sec. Nevertheless, a very elegant mouthfeel, good solid fruit and rather soft tannins. This will be absolutely excellent in 5-7 years and at €20 a must buy!!!

Lovely mature flavors on the nose and palate but maybe missing a little freshness/acidity. Fine soft bubbles. This is surely a food champagne, which will pair beautifully with grilled salmon og white meats. I think this wine is at its peak - enjoy now! Wish I had more...

Light cloudy red colour. Lovely primary burgundian nose dominated by bright red fruit and vegetal component. I could sniff this all day!! Tons of structure on the palate but the tannins are soft. Flavours are not too complex at this point and it finishes a little short. Still it is an excellent wine and a very good QPR at 24€. Drink 2014-2024. 92+
