On the nose, roses, tar, violets, licorice, menthol, rosted almonds, truffles and some bear adhesive. a nose with a lot to discover
On the palate, tobacco, licorice, nice fine tannins with a hint of strawberries and raspberries.
Long finish

On the palate: Fine salty notes, high acidity, asparagus, hot dog, some black pepper.

We all did not think it was a defective wine. Very interesting with very divided views and good discussion about it, since it is very praised. I wish you all the best

On the nose: oxidative element, red apples, integrated oak and vanilla, hint of sherry.
On the palate: Yellow mature apples, licorice, sherry, vanilla a very nice and round finish.
Long finish

A very typical Selosse wine.

On the nose: Perfume, red apples, caramel, menthol.
On the palate: Candy, white flowers, tutti-frutti, menthol, somewhat sticky.
Medium finish

I had it blind and did not pick it as a champagne. I am puzzeled....
I wonder if this is a cuvée later or earlier than the ones I've tried in the past?

On the nose: Smoked meat, dark fruit, oak, soil green herbs and some pepper.
On the palate: Smoked soil tones, very present dark fruit, cherry, some oak and pepper. A taste of sweet licorice in the background.

2/13/16, 1:10 PM - Grinner thanks for your feedback and I understand your thoughts. But actually I revisit my notes and I have to stick with them but I also noticed that I had missed one note. Glue!(Now edited) My first impression and thought was Piemonte due to the acetone and glue but the color of the wine told me another story. I can agree at some point that the acetone was not as intensive after a while. But we had the wine 3-4 hrs of decanting and the wine was in good condition. Cheers from a cold Sweden.

On the nose: honeysuckle, marzipan, elders, a flower field at midsummer.
On the palate: Vanilla, some citrus, nice elegant balanced honey based herb mixture

Good concentrated acidity very well balanced and not a very "fruity" wine.

Deg: October 5 2012
Light golden yellow
On the nose: Very significant red apple tones, yeast, vanilla, coffee and sherry.
On the palate: More riped red apples, vanilla, marzipan, some fudge and citrus. your thoughts are leaning towards Normandy and cidre.
Very well balanced
Long finish

On the nose Pineapple, papaya, honey
On the palate, Chalk, mineral, a obvious dryness.

Once again a more rubust Chardonnay wine that I would say a typical american wine these days. Beefy without being vulgar, but still missing the fine tuned strings to play on.

On the nose, Gun powder, honey, rubber, toast and a fresh summer wind over a summer meadow that hits you straight in the nose.
On the palate, A certain smokiness, almonds, sweet rubber, hint of mineral and yellow apples. The acidity is very present and at this time i would let the bottles rest for a couple of years.

On the nose. Black currant! Black currant! Black currant! Fudge and some pepper, white pepper.
On the palate. Guess what! Black currant, candy, some alcohol with a good lenght. A little to much for my taste will perhaps be nice and more balanced in the future.

12/8/12, 7:40 AM - Did post on the notification board... Takes some time to find everything in the new Cellartracker. But the staff took care of the decant. Usually they do decant the wines between 2 and 4. We did arrive at 6.30.
