First bottle I ended up sending down the sink as it just wasn’t for me but maybe that was an off bottle.

Second was much better - yes it’s rich and yellow fruited but has a zest and energy to the core which is quite enjoyable . Rounds out a little after an hour.

Pretty good

Very interesting . Feels rather new world and plenty of ripe fruit but does finish with a cooler, dry herbal element that really does add interest.
Not sure if I like it or love it yet but a very good wine. Will enjoy the next 5 in case.

First of the case and in perfect condition.
Exuberant nose with oak and reduction. Rather Meursault like. Palate is dense , compact and packed full of energy. Finish dry and feels a bit lean in relation to the rest but just needs time as opens. Drinking now but maybe a little tight on finish and should develop.
Lovely

Very good.
initially comes across with that creamy and softer element you get on the rose Krug. It’s accessible and drinking but I think there is a lot more to come.
The nose isn’t quite giving that full Krug, nicely developed nose. Palate also seems to need some filling out and development. Ideally I’d wait another year or two at least to see how it goes.

Really good, needs more time ideally but drinking well enough now.
Menthol, meat and fruit on the nose - real density and tannins but it’s still got fruit to cover.
Pepper and olives . 13.8% which is good.

My first Keller Abts and very much a joy.
Nose is quite floral and fruit filled with that lovely mineral stream Riesling element. Possibly peach and white / yellow flowers with some spice.
Initially palate was very good but not anything truly special. Dry but rich and open creamy approach.
Then it really kicks in though with frisson of electricity and zing rising up in the finish.
What a finish as well, pretty long

This is so good.

Last bottle was two years ago and it displayed a little too much oak. Today it’s much more settled
Nice richness on the start and finish has good acid and sharpness but does cut off a bit quick and makes the finsib a touch lean / weak despite the acid.
Almost really good.

Part of the Nomad case and this is a step up on the bourn. Some grip, acidity and tannins which softens over time.
Fruit and menthol on the nose.

From magnum and excellent. Quite a rich deep wine but does have acidity and some structure but a silky frame.
A good solid napa - crowd pleaser

Good depth, soft and honeyed, perhaps lacking in some cut and drive but this fitted the bill with the food. Very much enjoyed in an easy manner.

My second bottle from a case of three and just lovely.
Wasn’t as sweet as the initial opening of the first bottle, which may be down to extra time in bottle, the fact I gave it 30 mins air or sone variation.
Stunning wine though. More Bordeaux green pepper like an 04 VCC but far more approachable
Good grip and balance - just lovely.

This was a joy. Not had any Rav of this age as most have been 5-10 years old.
Cork perfect and high fill. On the nose perfect with that coastal element MdT has.
Initially a real tangy / sea element appeared on the finish but next time I’ll decant it for 30 mins at least.

Give this an hour or two and it really blossoms. Soft creamy, mineral coastal nose. Some lift in middle with a touch of grip on finish saying Chablis.

After a good amount of air this really came alive and feels so much younger that it is. I’m sure the bottle will last some time but I’ll drink mine at suitable events soon.

Very good and ready to drink but will hold without issue. Sone energy and power on the finish. Oak is certainly there but isn’t too strong
13.8% alchohol . Slight tropical ripeness but a clean undercurrent.

Well this was a surprise. Lovely.
I was a touch concerned at a quick scan of reviews which suggested spritzy, corked or sour as a possible result,

This couldn’t be further away from those reports. Out of the gate it’s floral, fruity and very generous, almost condrieu like, certainly not SB. Honey melon, peach but also softer creamy elements on the nose.
Light medium in colour and palate is much fresher than expected. Acidity is decent enough to keep it all going
Lovely fruit, touch of the fruit salad sweet about it for those who know.

It’s got plenty of bite and a decent finish. Given some air a more acidic cut comes through and the fruit salad dissipates somewhat Very good

This has really put on some cream and weight since my last bottle and is showing well.
Touch more butter / crème elements with still that lime undercurrent

Give it air and those more citrus elements do come through over the initial buttery notes.

Interesting and pretty good. Still young, nose is restrained yet comforting,. Decent mid palate good energy, chalk with dry finish. Feels a bit light and short despite coming across as a lovely champagne.
Not worth the lofty price, though enjoyable to drink.

Stunning, opulent in a balanced way and very drinkable. Depth, fruit with some expected meaty notes though more fruit driven at the moment.
Good acidty, some verve and grip but quite a silky package.
Really lovely.

Another fantastic 00 offering. This cuvee is more Californian than other but still with a heavy old world nod. 14.3 % which is more than any other 00 I’ve had - plenty of punch and depth on this one witb a touch more fruit.
Had a bit more US about it than perhaps the Chehelam Mountain but more mid depth and density - if you mixed the mid of this with the CM it would be perfect in my book

Really good and has a bit about it
Thought it may be not overly approachable now but it really is. Sweet core of fruit helps as there are still some decent tannins and a dry finish. Has a reasonable punch.
A few years May not hurt but can be drunk now quite easily. Quite a bit of spice. Zip and complexity on the finsih.

Touch of reduction in the nose - light oak on entry with a rich but crisp underbelly - butter and apple entwined
Some rich fruit in there - decent enough acidity but a little more Russian river than Oregon as fair bit of richness.
Good stuff though

A serious wine. The slight negative is the high ABV (15.5%) but holds itself quite well without ridiculous density or fruit / depth. Had a sharpness / freshness about it, though isn’t a delicate light wine. Plenty of fruit, tannins, acidity and good drive .

From magnum and brilliant. Not quite as fruit forward / juicy as later base vintages which is expected. Creamy on the nose to start with, dry mid / finish. Leave it and nose goes full on Krug
Really good. I think I may prefer the 12 and 13 base but would never turn this down. Really good.

First bottle was tainted but thankfully this one was clean.
Has depth but relatively fresh frame. Traditional mocha, cocoa, blackcurrant and a sort of green pepper element mixed in. Just a lick of freshness and uplift on the finsih and something on entry. Menthol and good acidity.

A well made solid wine. BBQ and cheese obvious options.

Loved this. Sort of. Burgundy/ Sonoma coast hybrid. Touch of orange on the profile and good fruit but also a real earthy element.
On the finish in first hour or so, a slightly vegetal bitterness on the finish though that sounds worse that it actually was. A lovely decent depth wine. Very enjoyable. If you can buy it then give it a go.

Open and silky on entry with lovely amount of depth and density. Finish has some interest and uplift with good minerality along the way.

First bottle from case bought at auction from one of the members who were part of this project
Seems it be an ok wine in there with mocha and chocolate quite distinctive
This is corked though, not horrifically but it’s corked so down the sink it goes.
I had read reports of other years and versions that suffered from poor corks and condition
Let’s hope most of the other 11 are ok .
Seem solid enough and enjoyable but will reserve judgment upon a sound bottle.

Very good and a slight surprise.
Golden colour making you think it may be quite rich, deep and ripe elements.
No real NW sauv blanc nose and rather neutral in some ways.
Has ripe elements but also a sharper freshness on finish
Really not bad - should develop as well but drinking just fine now

Oh my word this is rather good. Quite a lot of oak on the nose and palate. It’s burgundy but with dialled up richness, sweetness and softness that you would expect from a US wine.
It’s Sonoma coast though so isn’t too much.
Despite the depth, and full on nature it has a decent sharp acidic finish and spice

I say it’s not too full on and it’s Sonoma coast (with 12-14% chards on the whole ) but this is 15% which is SQN and big Napa territory

Saying that I’d have guessed at 14 %

A very good wine and even more impressive now knowing the ABV.

Last bottle was 2 years ago and my comments were it was a little burly around edges and needed to settle down. It has done that and burly is replaced by a slightly sappy finsih with acid cutting through a bit more.

Utterly fascinating - one of the usual NE nose of nettle or grass / cats . Nose very quiet
Palate also somewhat lacking with a lack of mid range
Give this 30 mins or more to open - now the kick and acidity appears with more of a dense palate
It’s Alamo t a chard / sauv hybrid in some ways
I need to try another bottle and work out what I really think of it.

Some nice development on the nose but still a bit tight and fresh on the palate. I expected a fuller rounder profile given nose, year and age
Maybe it will come round or this is just the wine.
Will see how we go.
