Very young but drinking nicely. Definitely will get better with age but it’s a joy to drink now with some air. 94+

This is fantastic. “Will the real rioja blanco please stand up”? This strays far from oaky tradition to a Chablis like wine with zero or minimal oak. This is irresistible. I’m sure it will age well if I don’t drink all before they do!

Young but it’s drinking well. It will certainly flesh out with age and gain complexity. 93+

Another excellent bottle. Age is doing this well. Still super young and will improve greatly. Easy to pop and pour now almost too easy. Glad I have some “hidden”.

As always, this wine was rock solid. I believe this wine is one of starts of 1990 vintage and does not get the recognition it deserves. Tertiary notes present but no signs of this wine tiring. This wine will easily last another decade or two.

This has incredibly fine mousse and bracing acidity. This is easily in my top five champagnes I have tasted. Drinks like a grand cru white burgundy but with super fine bubbles. This wine has the structure to last easily another decade but I do not see it getting better than it is now so time to pop a cork.

Second time tasting this vintage. Compared to the 2015 and 2017, this is the most elegant but could be a good sign that there is even more depth to come in the future as this could be tightly wound. Simply incredible to drink right now. Gave this an hour in the decanter. Last vintage of the original owner Foucault.

Drinks well above its price. Complexity, depth and length. Can pass for a Brunello in a ready to go package.

This is a super cool example of Syrah. High quality and will improve with age. Only 11.5 percent alcohol. Like the wine name, a fun wine to drink with friends.

This wine is rocking right now. Yes it needs air and will certainly benefit from age but it is such a joy to drink right now. Impecable balance. Not a hard edge on this wine yet its true potential is still tightly wound. 95+. Hold if you only have 1 or 2. If you have more open one to try.

This is easily my favorite of last three vintages. This drinks well now with minimal air but also shows promise for mid term aging. I believe this wine is one of the best values in barolo.

Definitely young but has great potential. It’s a little disjointed at the moment but shows so many of the classic meursault characteristics I love. On the Lower end of medium alcohol spectrum and med acidity. I know 2022 is a lower acidity vintage but certain producers have been able through winemaking to still make it work. If this had a bit more acidity it would be a home run. It will be interesting to see how this evolves. 91-93.

This wine is getting there. Age has rounded out the tannins and blended the alcohol into its frame (15 percent). The alcohol sting that showed in its youth is now subdued. This will continue to get better with age. I think burghounds target of drinking in 2027 is spot on. You can drink this now but will be better with age and will last a very long time.

Not the best vintage but winemaking prevails. This is easily the best of the 2018 brunellos I have tried so far. This wine is not at the level of the 2016 but not that far off in an earlier drinking vintage. Excellent.

In a great place right now. Not the best vintage but winemaking prevails with this producer and they created a beautiful Brunello to drink now. Excellent quality for price. Drink now.

This is sensational. Old school aligote with more depth and concentration that the normal de moor aligote. Acid bomb. Very young and will get better with age. Saving my other bottles.

I would say this wine is good to go. Definitely in an early drinking more modern style but delicious. Someone else said this is new world. I agree with this assessment but at a lower alcohol content which I like. Excellent quality wine to drink now over the next ten years.
White
Over the last year since tasting this wine has put on more weight and developed more of the quintessential meursault characteristics. The higher alcohol of this vintage/producer is evident and keeps this wine from otherwise being spectacular. It is possible that I have been spoiled by drinking tons of 2020 burgs that retain the same acidity and characteristics yet have have more modest alcohol level. This may round out with more age or at least be less apparent. This wine has a long life ahead of it. 92+ on this one.

I gave this bottle more cellar time and plenty of air. This wine was stunning. Lots of concentrated fruit and excellent intensity and length. Will continue to keep improving so I would suggest another 5 years if you only have one bottle.

This wine was simply stunning. Medium gold, pronounced nose and also on the pallet. Showing tertiary characteristics but the bottle clearly could have benefited from a bit more age. Great to drink now but will last a decade or better with upside. 96+

Another year on the books. Give this at least an hour open preferably two and it will be singing. Epic juice. Keeps getting better and better. Still so youthfull. This will improve for 5-10 years and then last for at least another decade.

I decided to open a bottle in name of science to compare to the 2015 and 2016 vintage. This is the first vintage of new ownership and the wine doesn’t disappoint. Larger scaled than prior vintages but there are no hard edges. High acid and fruit is turned up and bell pepper notes turned down. This is open for business now even without much air. I’m sure this wine will improve some with time but it’s too hard not to drink it now. Cellar temperature accentuates the acidity and freshness. Drink or hold.

Roulot consistently delivers one of the best Bourgogne Blancs in all of burgundy and this one is no exception. This one is open yet youthful. Hard to believe almost a ten year old Bourgogne. High acidity, medium nose, medium nose and medium length. Super balanced and delicious. What is most remarkable is roulout always finds a way for their Bourgogne level wine to retain all of the characteristics of their higher level wines in a more approachable and economic wine.

While this wine has some good qualities, the alcohol really shows through on this. High tannins, high alcohol and an overly plummy fruit profile makes the wine big and clumsy. Paired well with my family’s homemade lasagne but was hard to manage on its own. I am not sure if this the vintage or producer but I was not impressed. Had corked popped three hours before consuming.

Day two. Upgraded from 89 to 91. Some of bad qualities have gone away. Still high alcohol burn on palate but acidity tames it a bit. The fact that I am going to drink rest of bottle raises score a point or two.

From Lee’s cellar. Absolutely massive and youthful. Was just as good if not better day three as day one. Popped and poured. Lots of life left with more upside. Great alternative to Bordeaux.

A little time in the cellar has done this wine well. My friend and I contemplated decanting this but to our surprise the wine was ready from the get go. Best chave hernitage Blanc I have ever had.

No decant. Cork slightly less than half saturated and came out perfectly. Allowed wine an hour of air. This wine was near perfect and better than the last bottle I had 5 years ago. Textbook Pomerol with loads of life left. I would even say this wine on the upswing. No rush to open well stored bottles.

This is now showing tertiary notes and has put on even more weight and complexity. I would say it is in early drinking window but if you only have a few bottles hold a couple years. I have two left and I am going to wait at least 2-3 years for the next. Still some upside. 94+
