Mother's day with garlic shrimp and scallops on a bed of rice. Initially, slightly pungent then with grassy character balancing out with citrus aromas. Even citrus flavors leeding to a deceptively long finish with good acidity and without any real bitterness

Open since yesterday, then corked and finish today from 3/4 bottle. Med ruby red. Moderately intense but concentrated forest floor and dark fruit aromas with some vanilla expressing oak on palate. Velvety dark fruit , good acidity . A bit coiled with moderately intense but long finish. Lots more to give and still quite primary, but elegant.

Med to dark ruby.drank half bottle then left for 4 hours. Musty cherry aroma of med intensity. Some red but dominantly dark cherry with any oak having been absorbed. Mouth filling with round but present tannins and good acidity. Begs for food. Lingers on back of palate with long mouth watering finish. This is all there!

Dark ruby red. A little reticent on opening, but after 30 minutes or so fruit, cigar box and cedar aromas. Nice depth of dark cherry fruit and long finish on palate. Tannins are present but round and do not interfere. Young, but still gives a lot of pleasure. Lots of upside

Opened up and gained aromatic intensity when tasted from half empty bottle 5 hours later

Day 1 Golden yellow. Initially a bit cold. 15 minutes in glass, started showing apple and overal buttery character. Some oak and mineral/wet stone elements but overall harmonious and balanced. Only medium length finish and moderate intensity. Feels a bit muted.
Day 2: Aromas are a little more intense but not dramatically so. Initially, the wine is subtle with a bit more "mineral" undercurrent, but I feel like the mid palate is lacking in character somewhat. More character and length on the finish. Very smooth.

PNP. Did not standout in a blind lineup of other South American Malbec and Cab-Malbec blends. Still too young,
though tannins were round. Character of Cabernet Sauvignon seemed muffled. Probably should have been decanted. Tasted more textural like Malbec than Cab though latter dominant in blend

PNP. Med to deep garnet. Lifted crushed red fruit (strawberries) with spices, an elegant nuanced mouthfeel, soft tannins, and long finish which fans out. Served blind in a lineup of South American wines. Will develop more, but very good now. A wine to contemplate

Straw yellow. Initially reticent nose with a hint of citrus. Then exotic fruits as the wine warmed up. Low key flavors but a distinct blend of citrus and ripe exotic fruit with wet stones gradually building as the medium length finish. I suspect that with more bottle age wet stone will become the dominant component and the finish will grow in length and intensity.

2019 Georges Noellat Vosne Romanée Les Chaumes from Peter. Bottle open 2nd day. Deep ruby. Intense aromas of spicy, dark fruit. Tannins are round but there are a lot of them; they have some intensity. Finish is long but compact and not complex and expansive as a peacock's tail. Wine is still tightly coiled and it has a lot more to give with some time in the bottle. Loads of potential.

Lemony yellow. Pleasant, if short lived bubbles. Hint of bitterness, maybe some grapefruit rind at the front which quickly resolves into smooth, satisfyingly long citrus finish.
Super value.

Deep smoky red fruit aromas. Dark cherry up front. Ripe . Good persistance, still with smokiness. Fair acidity.
On the second day, more intensely aromatic and a touch floral. On palate seems more precise and somehow lifted. The finish more elegant. Lots of life still in this Bourgogne. Enjoyable.

Bright deep ruby. Initially reticent, but opened up with 30 minute of air. Then, raspberries, red fruit, aromas and on palate. Medium long finish with good freshness and a hint of smokiness. Good intensity but not particularly complex. A solid, enjoyable wine.

Left 1/2 bottle for a second day: What a difference. Only now I see that I opened it early. The nose jumps out of the glas but now with pronounced raspberries and cherries. More intensity on the palate and a longer finish. Still a mid weight wine but you can see what is possible. Be patient as long as your bottles are properly cellared

Ruby red. Smokey ripe aromas. Mixed red and black fruit with black more pronounced on the second day. Ripe cherries with a hint of cough syrup. Good weight throughout and fine tannins, good intensity. Power over fitness with a long finish, which became less so on day 2.

Red fruit up front with some smokiness which I interpret as oak influence as there is also some vanilla and spice. Opens up and quite mouth filling on the palate but seems to be a single note and doesn't display much complexity. Good long smooth finish. This opened up even more and showed more intensity on the second day.

Dark and red cherry on the palate with silky darker fruit dominating suggesting ripeness.
Opens up nicely with good acidity and then very gradually fading to a long and delicious finish. This was much better, more open and expressive than last bottle had S2 years ago. Drank with fried chicken on 60th.

Opened up after 30-45 minutes. Dark. Ripe darker fruit though red fruit comes out a bit on palate. More intense than the Chambolle villages that I have tasted, more muscular. But, there is a silkiness and textural elegance and balance that cannot be denied. I continue to be impressed by Roumier wines though my enthusiasm cannot help but be tempered by the eye watering prices.

2nd day after standing half full corked in a cool location. Seems more open and detailed. Red fruit comes through more. Expands more on the palate and maybe even a little more length on finish. It has more to give.

Ruby with purple ish hue. Very aromatic on first day, more subdued on second day. Initially, palate very like Beaujolais, more Pinot like on second day. Intense red fruit character. Interesting but expensive for a Bourgogne level wine without the payback in terms of a drinking experience. A bit rustic
