Really impressed here. Nose is ashy, leathery, mossy which stands in wonderful tension with its light body and very smooth tannins. Great QPR.

Mostly typical Morgon from Foillard. Red fruits, earth and some green pepper/vegetal tones on the nose. Ran a little hot and spicy for me but great QPR for a daily drinker.

Fascinating and delicious. Milky white in the glass but light, high acid and super powerful tangerine essence. Confounding my own expectations, on tasting reminded me immediately of the Viticole/Hiyu collaborative ciders. Light bodied, high acid, doesn't taste a drop of its 12% ABV (dangerous). Brought it to an omakase dinner and everyone enjoyed the wild pairing.

Delicate, light body and red fruits with underlying earthiness. Held to the third night and it was really at its best by then. Delicious.

Delicious. All around brilliant Lapierre and Morgon typicity. Maybe a tiny bit hot but otherwise drinking really well now. Wish I had more of these.

Great stuff always from Foillard but nice to have a bottle to pop guilt free with a casual dinner. Red fruit, lots of cherries and strawberries, and strong florals on the nose with a medium body and a really food friendly crunchy acidity. Delicious.

Couldn’t help myself and popped this. Tremendous right out the gate. Light ruby with some rusty streaks. Peppery, earthy, funky in all the right ways on the nose. Medium body and a really beautiful balanced acidity with medium tannins. Gentle but lingering finish.

Gobs of sediment. Bright and light ruby coloring. Light body and sweet, like drinking fizzy Ocean Spray. Paired with a heavy, salty Detroit style pizza and it almost worked.

Decanted for about an hour. Cloudy, slightly rusty, garnet appearance. Pure fresh red fruits, dark cherries and spice on the nose. Medium body. Mineral, slight fizz, fresh is still the right way to describe this. Low alcohol but perfect balance throughout. Fantastic. 12.5% abv

Popped a couple weeks after receipt. Bottled with a crown cap over a cork, which I found interesting. Cloudy in the glass with a rusty, dark peach look with reddish tint to very light pink at the rim. Intense nose of roses, violet candies, flowers and herbs. Savory, tart palate but also easy to drink. Crazy (good). 8% abv

Almost a rusty-magenta color in the glass? Light and almost entirely transluscent - nearly pink. Intense nose hits with woodsy, mushroom and herb notes. Also some strawberry on the nose, but also on the palate which has more typical red fruits. Tannins hardly evident. Light and delicious. 12.5% abv.

Found a bottle from a few years ago and given subpar storage was disappointed that I’d have to dump it; wine was actually not half bad! Rusty brown garnet in the glass. Lots of bell pepper and spice/earthiness on the nose. Medium body and high-ish, slightly out of balance heat on the palate. 13% abv

PNP. Vibrant ruby color, looked great in the glass. Nose of cherries and strawberries but accompanied by more savory hints and earthiness. Delicious, ultra fresh and zippy mouthfeel with a lighter/medium body. Some alcohol there for sure but well balanced. 12.5% abv

Torres Acosta’s second vintage from this high altitude parcel, a field blend of grenache and nerello mascalese alongside white grapes too. Funky, red fruited at first but evolving to show its bold character with great structure and finish. Drink now or hold and see how this evolves for next 5-7+ years. 12.5% abv

This is so easy to love. Cloudy yellow, skin contact-y appearance. Super nose with sweet tropical and citrus fruit - grapefruit, papaya, pineapple. Contrasts with a sharp minerality on the palate but with such a nice balance and a very compelling finish that says “drink more” - a shock to see abv at 12%.

Dark ruby appearance. Nose primarily of brambly red and black fruit. Medium-to-light body but with tightly wound tannins, which eased up a bit night two. Nice minerality and drinkability to it now but needs a bit more time to sort itself out and really sing.

Awesome, drinking really well even now. Certainly some reduction at first but I didn’t find overwhelming on the nose - balanced together with very savory, salty, briny notes and black fruits. Elegant, medium+ body and well integrated tannins. Impactful, lingering finish.

Bottle 7442/8375. Delicious, easy drinking PNP. Definite hit of barnyard but there’s ripe red and black fruits on the nose too. Medium body but not simple glou glou - a little grippy character to it as well. Bojo reference below is spot on.

Medium ruby to pink at the rim. Nice Fleurie typicity here with bright, ripe red fruits, loads of florals and some pepper on the nose. Diverges a little with some grippy tannins and a bit of alcohol on the finish. Probably popped a couple years young but drinks well now nonetheless. 13% abv.

Agree with the consensus here, a lovely and relatively simple wine with a weaker QPR. I found the higher acidity and lower alcohol a perfect pairing for pizza. Nice red fruits on the nose but also some interesting peppery notes too.

First experience with Potaire and Gadouche. Wow I am impressed and wish I had more to last all summer long. Color is fascinating - impossibly light, almost pinkish-gold and nearly clear in the bottle. Very fragrant florals on the nose and the palate is crisp yet smooth with a lovely fresh effervescence.

I found this a bit disappointing. Had high hopes for this producer and the blend of 65% pinot noir and 35% gamay. PNP. Solid ruby color. Medium intensity on the nose - initially some savory elements which gave way to red and black fruits. Somewhat displeasing astringency on the palate and overall felt out of balance.

PNP. Light purple color. Fun and funky field blend of no less than 15 varietals. Seems like a red fruit explosion at first but there’s some earthy soil and crushed rock to it as well. Light body and nice balance here for 13% abv.

Translucent ruby center to nearly clear at the rim. Nose hits strongly of candied red fruits - cherries, red delicious apples, strawberries, raspberries and more. Medium body with high acidity. Alcohol at 11.5%. Very pleasing and reflective of its volcanic terroir.

Rich purple color. Short 15 mins in the decanter and slight funk gave way to a nose full of strong herbal and grassy, earthy notes. Hint of red fruit. Medium body, nice acidity and gentle tannins. As said below, a characteristic and very enjoyable bottle from Matthiasson.

Wife asked for a bottle of glou glou with dinner and this perfectly fit the bill. First experience with this varietal as a standalone. PNP with a medium ruby color. Slightest bit of funk but mostly candied fruits on the nose. Light body and delicious.

Rich purple color, to bright pink at the rim. About 45 mins in a decanter was useful. Bright cherries and black fruits, with some crushed rocks on the nose. Light body but well integrated overall at 13%. I liked it - first time with this wine and though not complex, it was bright and balanced, easy drinking.

First time revisiting this in a couple years. Darker ruby color with brown tint and a bit of sediment. Funk doesn’t take long to dissipate. Strawberries, raspberries and earth on the nose. Light body but some surprising grip at the end. Continues to be a very chuggable food friendly Etna.

Pretty, medium ruby in the glass. Decanted 4.5 hours to lose the intense barnyard scent. By that point, floral and herbal notes dominate with earth and red fruit coming through. Really enjoyed the palate: light, gentle feel, nice balance, and a very strong impression overall.
