Pronounced nose intensity with notes of red and black fruits, chocolate and coffee. Medium+ acidity and high tannin. Still youthful. Will improve with ageing.

Love where this is now—full throttle Carmenere. Better then my last bottle. This stuff can really handle spicy foods, which makes me love it even more.

Bring an interesting wine theme: Couldn't get past the heavy coffee, confected dark fruit note for this. Guessed 2019 South American Malbec since it showed similarly to the Catena Zapata I tried earlier in the week. Most managed to land in South America for this but not the grape. Hard pass.

Deep dark purple extending almost completely to the rim. Smells of plum, black licorice and green pepper. Full bodied with tastes of blackberry that blends with mellow tannins and a long finish.
Carmenere is one of my favorite varietals. Purple Angel never disappoints, but I’m wondering if I should not have PnP. Still excellent wine. My next bottle, I’ll be sure to give it some air.

High intensity aromas of sandal wood, cinnamon, ripe black fruit, ripe dark plum, dried dark cherry, cranberry, red currant, green peppercorn, paprika, roasted red pepper, vanilla, butterscotch and mocha.
Pronounced palate.
Full body, medium (+) acidity, medium silky tannins, long finish.
Smooth and elegant with great complexity. There are still a few rough edges, but give this 5 more years and it should be phenomenal.

Young but already very accessible. Tannins still present but already melted into the red and dark fruit which together with green peppers dominate the nose. On the palate medium body, similar to a good pinot noir from Burgundy, delicate. Well balanced acidity and a hint of sweeter fruit. Green peppers and hint of peppery notes.

Deep dark ruby/purple with a narrow rim. Masses of ripe black and blue fruit and some vanilla and tobacco. The tannins are a little drying still, but this is well-structured and should continue to evolve for the next 5-10 years. Surprisingly well-balanced.

Fine Wines SG - 2018 Cabernet BYOB (Praelum Wine Bistro): Deep ruby, thick legs. Lots of coffee ground nose. Full bodied, robust, intense, and well balancing with its lively tannins, with blackcurrants, black cherry, and a green smoky feel as well as coffee grounds. Quite long at the back. Nice!

Blend of 92% Carmenere and 8% Petit Verdot has a deep, rich, yet somewhat shy nose featuring aromas of herbally, evergreen, currant, cassis, red & black fruits, and subtle wood spice notes. On the medium-full bodied, structured palate it has lovely, flavourful aroma replays that are nicely balanced with fresh acidity and fine, well-integrated tannins. Impressively structured on the mid-palate, while finish length is excellent.

Deep purple. The vanilla comes ripping out on the nose, which also has ripe plum and tobacco. A full bodied wine in the mouth; lots more plum, a little soy, and earth. I'm looking for a benchmark Carmenere and I think I'm close with this wine. The oak masks some of the typicity but this is the best standalone Carmenere that I've had. This has got many years ahead of it, but it is drinking well now. Looong finish. Good with food and on its own.

LONG day decant Rich, deep, dark burgundy in color. FULL bodied! Vegetable green hints, Some oak and vanilla. Red licorice Unctuous, a little syrupy with some jammy sweet notes. Medium plus finish. Loads of fruit. This is a youngster. NEEDS TIME! That being said, it still went well with some big steaks tonight. Will get better with age.

Smell is incredible, peppers and cassis. Doesn't live up to the smell yet in the palate, but I guess will develop over time. But still enjoyable!
