P: Dried raspberries, cranberry skin, rose petals, fresh, driven, rusted pennies, but manages to remain silky. Subtle, encroaching tannins that are incredibly fine grained (med+). Lacks either punch or complexity.
F: Some well manged heat that turns into freshness on the back palate. Cranberry skin, red apple.

Quite torn about this one: can't complain about the flavour, but it doesn't transcend its 14.5% abv and, whilst some sips are delicious, others are just a little too soupy; overall, the wine could do with brighter acidity. Attractive plummy fruit, floral aromas, some herbs and smoked meat, and good length, but not particularly drinkable or exciting.

Ruby Red. Nice perfumed complexity on the nose - hints of red and black cherries, earth and some charred oak. Medium to full bodied, high acidity providing vibrancy, with noticeable but softened tannins. Has a nice elegant intensity with a long finish. Excellent.

Restrained, silky, yet savoury style. A bit hollow on the mid palate, doesn't hit Brunello's or producer's usual quality.
N: lifted, racy, fresh, tertiary, almost spearmint, crushed graphite, wet iron. Classic sangio nose.
