Zinds come in so many incarnations. I am unsure of what the blend here actually is; but whatever it is it presents a tantalizingly complex, slightly sweet unctuous wine. The other notes are from three years prior and I suspect things have changed quite a bit. First the color is an intense golden yellow with even green glints in the light. Lovely. The nose is honeyed apricots yet with those petrol mineral undertones. Luscious on the palate with ripe fruit, honey, moderate acidity, oodles of minerality and a long satisfying finish.

I can't add much more to what jwwinec and schway have posted. I really liked the contrast of dried apricots with that hint of bitter orange peel. A real delight. Went extremely well with a mahi mahi and mango dish that my wife prepared.

What a nice surprise. Honeyed peach and apricot on the palate with some (slightly bitter) orange peel, lots of white pepper and nice minerality on the finish. The varietal character of the chardonnay component definitely comes through, but the other grapes add a nice lush fruitiness and spiciness. A noticeable sweetness, perhaps qualifying as off-dry. Rich, creamy texture. Some acidity, but perhaps could use a little more. Just a tad heavy. But still really good, and for me very unique. First of this type of wine I've had. Looking forward to trying more soon.

Pepper, citrus, apricot et grapefruit on the very end of palate. Nice light acidity to keep the taste live and interesting. Don't taste much the minerality described in other TN but more grapefruit than minerality. Great wine.
