Epic Bordeaux for an Epic Birthday!; 9/1/2021-9/12/2021 (Paris & Bordeaux): I'll admit this is a producer that I've never really given enough focus to. It seems we do own a few of these (this is what happens when you have somewhat broad champagne buying - you don't even remember what's in your cellar) but I haven't thought of them as someone to focus on. This was lovely though. We took a bit more time with this bottle and so gave it the change to open a bit. It's lemon curd and light and bright and very much a blanc de blanc in that nice and light and just slightly mysterious way.

DG 03/2013 Coconut, mango, pineapple, guava, burnt ripe lemon, lime cordial, toasted bread and butter, hazelnuts; oxidative character with Sherry wine and a hint of nail polish, metallic notes; later there are some lactic notes such as fresh milk and yogur/kefir. Very pleasant texture, somewhere between juicy with a creamy feeling; however, this feels like it's still quite young compared to the 2005 we drank some time ago, and somehow austere. 91pt

Golden yellow. Beautiful bouquet, fresh green Apples, brioche, honey and nuts. Fantastic concentration og thrilling nerve. Velvety feeling and great sense of harmony. Great acid. Long and focused. A Beautiful Champagne that easily could be stored for another few years at least.

Really nice but a little simple. Crisp bdb, lemon and apple but not enough acid or minerality to really make it shine.

Fresh and oxydative at the same time. Creamy and long. Outstanding
