Huge nose of roasted black cherries, bbq angus beef, cèpes de Bordeaux... Huge concentration, sappy and sweet strawberries, loads of ripe and silky tannin, very delicious.

Enjoyed over two days. First day, ripe dark plum and blackberry fruit, powerful tannins. Second day, the fruit is much more muted, mineral texture, lengthy finish. Not a lot of layers here, but this could come out with age. This wine makes me want to drink more Beaune.

Lightly hued, slender, traditionally styled Burgundy - none of that bright carbonic fruit so many others are going for these days. On the minus side, I found caramel flavors from the oak were absolutely dominant. Hopefully it will integrate but today it was way too much. And while I do appreciate its finesse, it will need to bulk up at least a little bit if it's to match some of the Mouches of the recent past.

No formal notes, but this is a light bodied, red fruited beauty. Zippy and complex at the same time. Great stuff that is fantastic now and with the balance to age for a long time.

Too ripe for my taste day 1. More modern / new world flavors. Not overdone just not what I look for in beaune
