Terrific Grüner Veltliner with great sophistication. Yes, I acknowledge that Grüner is a hard sell for those who are used to, for example, fat California Chardonnays and fragrant German Rieslings, but good Grüners grow on one's palate. To draw a comparison to cocktails, a good Grüner is like a great dry martini. Arguably, the Grüners from the steep hills along the Danube in Wachau are the best.

Pale yellow with green tint. Citrus, grassy, white pepper and minerality. Medium-light bodied and good acidity. Fresh and crisp but flat, i.e. not much structure. I was hoping for more from Domaine Wachau but was disappointed. Need to drink up soon.

Bought from Applejack in Colorado Springs. I really like this wine. I don't drink enough Gruner. The Nose and Palate are nearly identical. This is rare.
Color. Lime yellow
Nose. Limes, straw, wax, white pepper.
Palate. Limes, straw, green apples, white pepper.

Still lean, but with slightly riper fruit. The vegetal nature is there, but less noticeable. Enjoyable.

Nice crisp Gruner but a bit overly acidic. Can do better for a Gruner but it's very good for this price.
