Bourgogne visit 29/10-1/11-2023: Tasting of vintage 2022 from Barrels. Incredibly important point from Ms. Rousseau under our visit: She emphasized that the wine in the barrels changes from hour to hour until it stabilizes around February/March after the harvest year. One moment it's in harmony and balance, the next it's not. Therefore, relying on barrel samples to a very limited extent is advisable. It must be almost impossible for the professional reviewers or perhaps they are equipped with magical abilities... My notes are based on the performance of the wine in the barrels at the time I tasted them. They will evolve positively over time. Clos de Beze was my favourite (93) in front of Le Chambertin (92).
This wine: Very closed at the moment. High acidity and medium+ tannin. 90
