The 2015 Rousseau Lavaux St Jacques is fleshy and robust. Ripe mixed fruits, low pitched berries and earthy minerality. Surprisingly more rustic than other young Rousseau I have tasted, bold rather than elegant side of the spectrum for Rousseau. Ripe cherries on the mid-palate with fine grained tannins on the finish. (90/100)

Acker April 2019 (Marea in NYC): One of my most favorites of the early morning tasting. I am not really a burg person, but I do get the love when I try these kind of bottles. There's a lovely elegance and lightness and yet it is bursting with bright red fruits and spiciness. I'm not always a young wine person, but there was something very appealing about the freshness here. Obviously a killer wine.

Rustic and closed. Vintage character did not come through here for me. 90-91
