Dinner with JonnyG, again: Chocolate, graphite, cassis, cedar and some green capsicum. Lovely acidity and the flow is fantastic, with texture and depth. Really feels like this is at its peak now. If it had a little more intensity I think I'd love it even more, but it is still wonderful as it is.

Clearly old world- difficult though to place it. complex salty nose of blood, dried herbs, lots of other stuff and funk going on. All with a touch of class that identified this as a good old world. Quite an intellectual exercise. On palate - again complex and with a good grip and high acid that suggested that this is italian. Can be kept for longer, but not so sure about where the nose is going.
