  Medium lemon yellow. This is another outstanding bottle of this wine which shows that it is still climbing in quality. It needs time to open up, and then shows spinach, sweet herbs (tarragon, thyme and more), fresh grass, hay and candied lemon and lime. This feels restrained still and I expect this to improve more. Good weight - not heavy but rounded edges which have been filed away from an earlier and sharper version of this wine. I love this. Great lift on the finish. I could drink the whole bottle with or without food - it works with both.

  This is tasty and still young, quite vibrant and fresh. The nose features wet gravel, green almond, flint, dill, bitter melon, lemon pith, and ginger. It's medium bodied with round, smooth acid that drives a significant depth of flavor and a longish finish. Flavors include grapefruit, pomelo, white peach, pear, vanilla, and a slight dose of cream. Complex and deep, it's somehow also quite restrained. A sensational wine, I'd be curious to try it another five or seven years. It has all the acid it needs to evolve for that long, but its residual flavor and texture occupies only the bottom half of the palate - there's nothing clinging to the roof of the mouth. I do wonder if that's a sign that it might not hold on well going into a second decade of life.

  Nez discret mais raffiné, sur des notes d’herbes fraîches, de menthe et de fruit exotique (lichi). La bouche témoigne d'un vin à maturité, voire qui a entamé doucement son déclin. Léger, tendre, avec une pointe de sucre résiduel. Peu concentré, il s’exprime en finesse, l’équilibre est irréprochable. Finale herbacée, harmonieuse et sympathique, de longueur respectable, saline. Il était encore meilleur après 90 minutes d'aération. Excellent dans le contexte d’un petit millésime. 90-91 pts

  Stunningly good 13 years on. Light yellow color. Faint sweet grassiness shows the Sauvignon Blanc but it is elegant and reticent. Mint, honeysuckle, citrus with a glycerin mouthfeel. Good depth but overall a lightness combined with complexity and round body. I love this. You would never guess the age based on the color and flavors. Impressive.
