Deep indigo color. Blackberry, sour cherry, forest floor and tobacco on the palate. Started tasting this after being open for an hour which was not enough time. This began to open around the two hour mark to reveal more Bordeaux like qualities. Also took that amount of time for the tannins to settle down. This was a very nice accompaniment to a number of different cuts if beef at Hall’s Chophouse in Charleston, SC. While very approachable, this will continue to improve for at least the next five years.
This wine was impossible to drink 5yr ago, it's perfect now. Was just watching Cathy Corison on Vinous YouTube talk about how 2009s are just now drinking their best.

X-mas spices, mint-fern, clove, cassis, fresh leather, rich entry, good soft fruit, nice tannins, structured, long finish with blackcherry in the back. Really nice. Guessed 2010's right bank. 4th place. Lawry's DD TOC Blind.

Chewy and thick. Tobacco gives way to currants and cherries. Finishes with cedar and leather.

Dark stone fruit and sharp currants. Nice earthy core with leather and cedar on the finish.
