Annual Chicago winos visit - Dugat Py Chambertins, DRC RSVs, SQN and etc. (The Grill Room at Capella Hotel Georgetown): I opened and poured a bit. The nose was beguiling, exotic ripe tropical fruits, orange, lanoline, biscotti dipped in vin santo, smoke and mineral. Exceptional concentration, unctuous and warm, typical ’92 ripe yellow fruits driven palate impression, slightly lacking acidity and deeply toned finish that resonates. It actually shows better in very small pour as the full pour brings too much ripe fruits and masks the nutty nuance. Very enjoyable if you don’t mind the 92 ripe expression. Don’t look for freshness or precision here.

The best bottle of three. Dark gold. High residual glycerin, which makes it easy to confuse with an aged Auslese. Time to drink, but holding well.
