Lovely nose with notes of strawberries, forest floor, and a hint of cherries. Tannins are quite integrated, adding a slightly velvety texture with good acidity and notes of red cherries and sous bois on the palate. Nice finish. Lovely wine and in a great spot right now!

Ordered off the menu at Clio (Boston). Delicious wine, though admitedly, it is tough to separate the wine experience from Ken Oringer's cooking. It surprised me how tight the wine was at first - noticable acid, strong cherry component along with blacker fruits, licorice and spice (paired exquisitely with a black licorice lacquered duck). Over time the acid and cherry receded, allowing more nuanced layers of spice to show. The tannins, which started with some significant grip, also softened and sweetened, bringing out a mocha component on the finish.

Didnt take extwnisve notes but very nice, plenty of time left. If I had another I'd wait 3-5 years or more. Room for further development.

With Brenda and gang PA--nice grip, great tightly wound fruit core with licorice and spice.
