Fresh with plenty of acid. Almost smokey nose when first opened that dissipated within 15 minutes. After breathing, mouth/nose combined for that salty popcorn experience with extra minerality. One of the best white burgundies we've had in a while. Bring this to the [good] friend who "hates" California chardonnay. Drinking great now, but probably continues to evolve another 5-10 years.

Grand Cru White Burgundy Fest: Really good and fresh. Another 04 that was surprisingly young. Clearly one of their best wines, some said better than the Chevy by its side.

Blind tasting. Pale yellow color. Citrus, hazelnut, brioche. Gluey texture. Fresh with good palate tension. Unfortunately, wine was flawed due to oxidized finish (very short finish).

(Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles) Light lemon yellow color; nice hazelnut, toasty, clarified butter nose; tangy, tart lemon, citrus, mineral palate with a sense of chalk, medium acidity and depth; medium-plus finish 93+ points (in blindtasting of four '04 white Burgs, including three Dom. Leflaives, this one ranked 2nd for the group, third for me, and garnered a total of 44 votes)

I haven't had this vintage for quite a while. This was very, very good. Better than the 04 Leflaive Chevalier next to it.

Sesame and orange fruit aroma. Long finish. High acidity. tastes younger than 04…… concentrated in the front of the mouth
