What a wonderful wine this has become. Not at its peak yet but getting there. Decanted 5 hours. Powerful nose and taste with lots of Blackberries, Black Currant, cedar, tobacco and leather. Good sweetness and agreeable tannins. So fat and delicious and really enjoyable. At 25 € this about the best QPR I can think of.

2/12, vg cork. Decanted and immediately served. Deep ruby core, narrow pale ruby rim. Youthful nose, black and blue fruits, vanilla, touch of mineral. Medium/full, quite rich with ripe blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, vanilla, just a touch of cedar and mineral, fresh acids, good length still quite grippy finish. Has potential, should improve.

Blackberries, blackcurrants and cedar wood on the nose, the palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins. Beautiful ripe fruit, dark berries, graphite, earthy, nice complexity,

Similar to last note, probably even a touch more intensity. Excellent wine with quite some length and power and at least another decade of positive development ahead.

I believe this is the first wine I purchased knowing it won't be consumed for quite a while. How it was worth the wait. Dark color; nose of mixed berries, black currant, saddle leather; similar flavors along with some pencil lead. Med+ body with great balance of acid and tannins and a very long gripping finish. I don't think this is going to improve but if I had another bottle, I would be in no rush to open it.
I preferred this over a 2000 Ch. Leoville Poyferre.
