Briefly Decantered, back in the bottle and drunk over a few hours. Young, has good stuffing and should turn out well. Well made CS, but no real sense of place (sadly). Good though, but probably best left alone for a few years. 93-95

Didn’t love it. Big and blocky at this stage. If you’re going to open suggest 3 hour decant min as was still good in the decanter the next day / deeper and calmer.

(from memory) Dark ruby, big nose dominated by dark fruits, vanilla, and mocha, with hints of loam, and spice, tons of dark berry and plum sauce on the palate, medium plus acidity and–surprisingly–soft tannins, finish is long but–at this stage–very oak dominated, the oak swallows up all the subtlety, hints of graphite, tobacco, earth and more complexity to come

No notes, impression only from a quick few ounces- this wine is pure enjoyment. While typically the wine is better than ‘average’ soon after vintage this is hitting on all cylinders m, even from PnP. Pure deliciousness and competitive against the flight. Great wine and should even improve with time 94+

First bottle of this vintage for me. Still youthful but really polished. Very drinkable after about 45mins in the decanter. Long and smooth finish. Agree with others that this wine would be great on Day 2. No chance this time, as we drained the bottle at Nome in Bend, OR. This bottle reminds me of the 1998 - which was very approachable after a couple of years in the cellar. I am excited about the 2019 vintage in Bolgheri as the Tignanello and the Solaia have been incredible, so far. Will be fun to watch (and taste) these evolve over the next 10 years or so.
