  • Decanted for 1.5h then back into bottle for restaurant. From memory about 2.5h after decant. Lovely gold color. Nice aromas of tart granny smith apples, lemon, loads of minerals, some bitter herbs. Palate showed lovely, intense tart apples, lemons, fantastic minerals, some bitter herbs and underlying petrol present from beginning to finish. Fantastic acids on a full body. Nice, long finish that echoes the palate. Complex with excellent depth and concentration.Drinking so well now but I suspect this can evolve further with greater harmony. Wish I had more. Lovely. 93+

  • Deep, rich medium gold color. TCN and sweetened lime juice on the nose. Intense, aggressive acids with notes of sweet lime and strong minerality. The same notes go on into an eternal finish. Delicious.

  • Restrained, reticent nose unwilling to give much up (even on day 2). Honeyed, refined texture of an older Riesling is apparent, but there isn't real cut or nuance to the fruit. I really wanted to like this more than I did, but it just came off as a bit flat. This was a tasty, older Austrian Riesling, but not very remarkable.

  • After a few ho hum examples, this was really lovely. Of course it was the last. It had a depth and focus I've never gotten from this wine before: earthy, beef stock undertones married to bright, vibrant citrus high notes; I got the impression of a simple chord with several pristine components that blend perfectly together. This bottle had a lot to say and wasn't even close to being finished when we finished it.
